Could you give us a brief explanation of the stick or swim process

@@MegaTkls when defenders are presented with organized attacking pictures, or overload v underload pictures we'd look for our players to check their feet earlier, defender front door door options first (stick) before swimming out to the back door options. Really important piece of decision making and double action defending

Agree his positioning wasn't good but I assume this was a hold the attacker up drill ? if he got a lower and more powerful stance the attacker would of very likely rolled off him and scored, least he held up the attacker until help arrived.

Why are summer rugby camps great?! Not only do they help you with childcare, we all know how long the summer holidays are, they are fantastic at developing the kids' confidence, social skills and teamwork. With a focus on core skills, mini games and training drills, the sessions keep kids engaged while developing their rugby game - whether they’ve played before or not! They’re also just really fun - and provide lot’s of opportunities to make new friends, run around and have a laugh! No “I’m bored” comments here! There’s a few spots available this week, and in our August camps, so head to the website for more info and sign up now! #BlackandYellow #The Greenyards #MelroseRugbyCamp #RugbyCamp2024 #SummerRugbyCamp #YouthRugby #RugbySkills #RugbyDevelopment #ScottishRugby #RugbyFun #RugbyFriends #RugbyForAll #TrainLikeAPro #RugbyCoaching #RugbySkillsDevelopment #RugbyTrainingCamp #SRUCoaches

Our summer camps kicked off today with lots of fun learning the Melrose DNA through our core skill games for our Micro’s & Mini's and older groups looking at attacking principles. The sun didn't shine but we didn't let that stop us 😄 We’re so pleased with the impressive play, teamwork and enthusiastic participation that the players brought along today - let’s see more of that this week! There’s still some spaces if you want your little one’s to join in - they register with the school year they will be in after the summer, so any kids going into P1 after the holiday, up to age 18 are welcome! Head to the website for more info or to book your spots for camp this week, or w/c 5th August! 🏃 #BlackandYellow #The Greenyards #MelroseRugbyCamp #RugbyCamp2024 #SummerRugbyCamp #YouthRugby #RugbySkills #RugbyDevelopment #ScottishRugby #RugbyFun #RugbyFriends #RugbyForAll #TrainLikeAPro #RugbyCoaching #RugbySkillsDevelopment #RugbyTrainingCamp #SRUCoaches
