What is a computer but a very sophisticated calculator?

Hmm that's sounds sus I have built a relay adder and also watched some vedios on it but this sounds like a motor spinning

9:32 you know what’s cooler than a moterized computer a computer with a gearbox I would suggest adding a way to disconnect the miter so you can manually spin it for debugging

It is a calculator not a computer from what i know
@ThatFunnyGuyXx7 күн бұрын
Man built an 8 bit adder… I did that at 12… but go off I guess. It’s barely considered a computer, if it is at all. It’s a small fraction of a computer. Also, he’s talking as if he invented this… this has existed for decades.

@8:23 the red line drawn around the buck converter starts at the resistors, drawing a line to the bottom corner where there is a "trim pot" This is used for *adjusting the output voltage*. Try turning them with a small screwdriver while measuring the output. Some trim pots only turn 300 degrees or so - others require *many* turns to begin seeing a result, plus at first you don't know if you're turning it the wrong way or not! Good luck!
@willdoesbuild9 күн бұрын
Yeah, I messed with the potentiometer and it didn't seem to do much. Also, with the converter that DID work, turning the pot didn't seem to change the output voltage... it remains a mystery?

"Will's Lerning Corner". That one caught me off guard and had me laughing for about 5 minutes straight. A great oxymoron. Anyway, I've only recently used my first relay for the simple task of providing on demand voltage to a motor - totally fascinating how complex things can get when many of these are put together.

Thanks! I put a lot of work into that intro lol

As I began to watch the video I was wondering why it doesn't have more views. If you want more views (which it seems that you do), I'd suggest working on your editing and how to structure a video to keep people watching (keep a consistent pacing, ensure viewers will always know what exciting stuff will be coming up soon, keep videos about 20 minutes long, etc.) Very impressive nonetheless, and keep up the good work!
