I have an insane true story about returning to high school in 1999 a the age of 31, at a school not far from Richview CI. I took a transcript from a student in another province and used it to register for grade 13 in Toronto. The student was the son of a friend of a family friend. He had dropped out of high school and I paid him for his official transcript. I had to use name and create a backstory for myself to explain how I was living alone at 17, had a nice car, and nice home. I literally just stole Dylan McKay's backstory and used it. I met a girl at the school who was 15 and we dated, her parents loved me. I broke up with after the school year finished, but bumped into her in 2006 and went to our 10 year high school reunion in 2009. In 1999, when I bought that kid's transcript, I also bought his ID. He applied for a second birth certificate and gave it to me, and I used that ID to get a driver's licence in his name. I let the licence in that name lapse, but I can renew it at any time.I was born in Toronto but my parents moved to London, Ontario, so I grew up there, but I moved back to Toronto after college for work. I was stockbroker in my twenties and part of my thirties. Everyone in my life knows me by my real name only but occasionally I will bump into someone who went to school with me in 1999 and knows me by my fake name. So far, I have managed to keep the two worlds from colliding.

notice how in these types of videos there are barely any fat kids? i went to a public high school for my first two years of high school; 2022-2024 actually. half the school was overweight or obese and the school was in a nice middle to upper middle-class area.

I was born in 82, graduated 2000. I genuinely believe my generation was the last to live in the moment. Todays kids are so obsessed with recording everything and documenting everything on social media that they fail to appreciate the moment. For example, kids are so obsessed with taking pictures of a sunset that they dont just sit back, touch the grass and enjoy said sunset. My generation was the last to truly live.

The times when teens at high schools would been so happy being in high school and would get to socialized with others. Even when technology's like smartphones and social media weren't a thing and since those exist now in our modern days Which modern high school's is all about social media since high school students would just be focus on their phones. With social media! which social media can be such a bad mistake since it can affect people though and of course with Modern high school students can be so toxic! since I have gotten in such toxic times in high school by being called slurs. Which one of the slurs is the f slur that I got called that by three toxic classmates before and I even got called the r slur By a really bad high school student from a different high school that is near an area that is have other two schools also. The other one is a junior high school and the other one is a high school that I also went to before but I still find that student Calling me the r slur is so uncalled for and bad for calling me that and I also never like this problem I was having in class. Back when I was being yell at by toxic classmates that decide to yell at me over my laugh since those people wouldn't let me Have a laugh! since the first time I got yelled at by them I was like it's just a laugh like you people should let someone else like me. To have a laugh and I was also like wow it's like I can't even laugh and I also never like I got threaten over my laugh by two people Like the first time I got threaten was by a teacher that decides to threaten to sent me to the office over my laugh which to me. I didn't find that right that she is going to sent me to the office all because of my laugh and even the second time I got threaten Over my laugh is when a classmate decides to sent me a threat to knock my jaw out all because of my laugh which that got me. Really worried! since I also didn't find it right on how I was being threaten to have my jaw knock out all because of my laugh And there was even a time I actually ended up in tears since the yelling over my laugh literally broke me down to tears. Since I just couldn't handle it and I honestly just didn't find it fair for me that those people are not letting me have a laugh Which people like that should know people can have different laughs and it sure doesn't give them the rights for them. To be so toxic towards that person for having a different laugh than you people have! like damn I actually wish I was in high school In the 90s which high school in the 90s look's way better than modern high school now.

There is a ton of high school videos like this posted on KZbin. All of them were made before the year 2001 (9/11 to be the exact zeitgeist time marker when the new dystopian era commenced) - viewers today yearning for the better days, I dub these videos to be a genre called "when America didn't suck".

This. This is what childhood is supposed to look like. Acting dumb, carefree, truly happy, silly, REAL-and nobody judged you. Noone cares about being cool, make up, what brand you're wearing, clothes, shoes what phone you have etc etc. Lucky to have grown up in the 90s. Best. Decade. EVER.

An obviously outgoing and seemingly popular kid makes a video meeting and greeting other sociable kids, all of which either know his name or he knows theirs. This video isn't representative of what HS was like in the 90's for everyone, not by a long shot. Yes smartphones and social apps have changed things but I wouldn't say for the absolute worse like everyone else seems to think.
@alzeis49632 жыл бұрын
It def represented my highschool experience. I was neither popular nor a played a sport. I knew almost all the students I graduated with almost 900 students. I didn’t hang out with them all but knew there names and who they were. What a great time to be alive
