Will the 2.3 engine be the same as their current one where the pistons jump out of the block? I am a regular customer of a very well renowned and well known UK automotive Ford and BMW tuning establishment. They have a dozen MK3 RS Focuses sat outside all engines shot. Ford know exactly what is going on same as their other Ecoboom 3 cycl engines. So unless they've not rectified the issues cannot see this being any diff? Being a fast Ford fan and a fan of Ford per-se what were they thinking?

It's simple. The tuning limits of any engine are finite. I'd like to bet all the (professed) dozens of RS's you speak about have been tuned beyond that unit's limit. (Or not having the head gasket recall work done) Audi kinda messed up with the previous gen RS3's gearbox map out of the factory resulting in a number of failures. Was that made of chocolate too? Finally, I've owned a tuned RS for 6 years. No more research needed this end.

So I guess the guys where I speak of whom tell me this whom build race engines etc etc etc don't know as much as you "yeah right"! My writing was only their words from four days ago not mine.
