The best version . First time my virgin ears heard this fantastic song

It sounds even better on this classic . One classic played on a classic. I’ll bet this was played on this juke box in the 50s .

Everything great, especially as I lived in the USA at the time of publishing and it became one fav in my repertoire. Only sorry the illustration above doesn't correpond with the original group that recorded this timeless piece.

My stepfather recently passed away and he was a great lover of both red wine and Neil Diamond! I should also add that David suffered from Parkinson’s Disease and it is such a cruel illness. This was the first song played at the funeral when my mum and I had to follow the casket in. I’m 45 and I always thought this was by UB40 and I’m so happy to have discovered this, and it was perfect for my stepfather’s funeral, although I do now find it difficult to listen to as it brings back a lot of emotions and memories of a very difficult day xx

my resident I’m caring for just said to me the other day “Ooga booga bushka” and I remembered hearing it before from my grandma, but forgot what it meant, so I asked. He told me “it means I love you!” And gave me a great big hug.. he plays songs like these all day on his tv, I’ll have to put this one on for him when I see him next.

John Rowles and Humperdinck the master voices and legends for decades. Todays music is indeed a sad affair from lyrics to melody lines. Modern music has gone "tribal".

This record was a Top 20 hit on KFWB, the leading Top 40 station in Los Angeles. It seems strange that it never made Billboard's nation Top 100 at all!

I was 18 years old from southern Canada living away from home for the first time, in Arctic Canada, when this song would come on the CBC radio. It made me feel lonely and homesick but comforted me at the same time. I'm 73 now and wanted to share that memory with my wife. We searched and finally found this song. I bawled like a baby and couldn't finish listening to it for the first few times. I'm okay with it now. My wife totally understood how sad the words could affect me. We smile and enjoy it now, Music just touches the soul,

I remember this record being played on the radio. It was considered a little risque at the time. The Four Preps did a much better cover version in 1962 on their album "Campus Encore."

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you Outside, the snow is falling and friends are calling "you-hoo" Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, let's go Let's look at the show We're riding in a wonderland of snow Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, it's grand Just holding your hand We're gliding along with a song of a wintry fairy land Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy, cozy are we We've snuggled close together like two birds of a feather would be Let's take that road before us and sing a chorus or two Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you There's a birthday party at the home of Farmer Gray It'll be the perfect ending of a perfect day We'll be singing the songs we love to sing without a single stop At the fireplace, where we'll watch the chestnuts pop Pop, pop, pop, pop! There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy When they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie It'll nearly be like a picture print by Currier and Ives These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our lives These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our lives Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you Outside, the snow is falling and friends are calling "you-hoo!"
