In my experience secondhand stores here in Australia are not interested in old household furniture and items? We have taken so much to the rubbish tip couldn’t even sell anything on line or give it away free. I wish you all the best in your renovation of your house and can’t wait to see the steps along the way. 😊

When your grandmother comes home she will be so greatful. A new day she can start. I am certain she was not able to do any thing, can imagine all the people that will come and see her and she will be overjoyed. I cared for my mother and father and never stopped. Would do all the things in the morning noon and night sit down a few minutes cook feed them did dishes cleaned house did laundry on and on tons of company I was exhausted and the next day was the same. I never complained.

It makes me mad that nobody visited grandma and checked in with her before things got out of hand. Grandma must have been suffering from something for her place to get this bad in the first place. Please anyone watching this do better with your elderly loved ones...they deserve the care and attention ❤

I wish there was a way to preserve them while making the kitchen more functional! The dishwasher faces the living room, and there is no room for a standard modern refrigerator. It's unfortunate that we can't save the cabinets in the process of updating!

Unfortunately when she passed years ago the home was left alone, and items were added over years. Then it was broken into and the thieves made a real mess. The open door allowed pests and weather in for a time, leading to the amount of work and mess in this video.

Late to the video. The guy mentioned the washer won't fill up all the way. Why not just unhook the washer hose and manually fill it up and put a cleaning agent in it and let in sit for a few hours??
@troyjones701311 күн бұрын
@@randallrigdon9379 unfortunately it won't let you overfill it. I'm assuming it's a safety from the manufacturer. The solution of cleaning manually seemed to be the fix here.

I bet it was a lot of work! We spent a few hours off-camera sorting the few items to save, but most of it is so dated or damaged it isn't worth dealing with. The house was broken into before this video, so the burglar stole the good stuff and really made a mess of what was left. Thanks for your reply, I'm hoping to get this home fully renovated quickly.

@stevemullen84576 ай бұрын
Just went through this last week. You need to take the outer housing out also as the underside of that star at the bottom will be cracked with crap underneath. I had to pressure wash all the parts. That water helps balance the tub during spinning.
@Nabraska497 ай бұрын
You would be amazed at how quick a pressure washer would have cleaned that wash bowl .. no scrubbing required..and the fisher and paykel is a much better washer to keep clean and so easy to take the tub out .. they just need the suspension replaced every five or so years which is very easy to do and not very expensive to do yourself.

Yeah I have completely disassembled mine and detailed it then reassembled it and run a clean cycle and there’s a bunch of gunk in the bottom at the end. I can’t figure out where it is coming from.

Thank you! I used bleach cleaner to clean tub out, to kill the mold & mildew... I was told by a small appliance technician that it's the fabric softener that clogs and dirtys up your washer & dryer. So now I don't use liquid fabric softener, and use wool balls in dryer now to soften clothes and for less static. After some time, I can see a huge difference! Dirt & grime doesn't stay in washer as bad as before, cause no wax (fabric softener) to hold it in bottom of the inside of the washer & walls anymore....

This video is immensely helpful. From giving us a start time and stop time, to showing which tools to use to make it go quicker. Thank you! Been dreading dealing with this sludge problem in my Samsung washer, but it's impossible to avoid now. It's gotten so bad. My clothing, bedding and towels come out of the washer dirtier than they were when they went in. So frustrating, Samsung! Will never buy a washer from them again.
