Hey Mark, nice review! I have two V1 Hensons - a medium and a rare +++ (I hesitate to use the term "aggressive"). The medium was my very first DE and back when I bought mine, about a month after they launched, the medium was called the "men's" and mild the "women's" - but they quickly changed that when most ordering the "women's" were men - lol. While they don't sell it on their site, Henson does make a V2 +++ "aggressive" AL13. It only comes in one colour, and is only available through online shaving stores. As for the V2 being a bit more efficient / have a bit more blade feel from the V1... I haven't tried a V2, but I have seen reviews and comments that agree with your impression.

I have the titanium mild version and it's pretty much the same aggression as my medium AL-15. It also has even better knurling. Great review Mark.

Hey Mark, I recently got the aggressive +++ version. I was curious how the updated design compared to the original Medium that I have. The aggressive +++ is more efficient, has a bigger gap, just easier to use. Definitely will be staying in the active rotation

That is my most favorite razor. I have to newer one like that. I usually do a 2-3 pass with it. It is so mild that if you do have a blemish it will just glide over it. If I am ever asked about which razor to start off with it is this one. If I was trapped on a deserted island I would pick the frying pan and this razor.

This was my first razor about a month ago. I got the tan version although it’s more bronze to me.i got the mild. I love this razor even more than my Rockwell 6C. I like the rk blades, Astra blades, Gillette nacet, and feather in this razor although I absolutely prefer the feather blade in this razor because you get a perfectly close shave in two passes. I used mine this morning with a brand new feather blade. I used the new supply shave cream and after shave! Absolutely close and efficient shave with only two passes ❤🪒💈❤️ this razor is perfect! So perfect I really want the titanium version.

Hello Mark, I’m a 60+ newbie potential wet shaver. ( Been using both an electric shaver and cartridges for decades). I have Cerebral Palsy which among other things makes my hands spastic and somewhat shaky at times. I have been looking for a mild razor to use on my new journey. Do you and/or your viewers think that this new Henson razor might be the way to go? Thanks in advance for your assistance. I loved my Henson ++ AL, Then when they released the V2 in Titanium, I immediately ordered the ++ (medium). GREAT razor. If I could have only one fixed razor, it would be the Henson Ti medium. I agree that the handle has improved 'grippyness'. But I wound up replacing with a Timeless Ti handle as it feels better in my hand. The Henson head angle puts the shave on autopilot. I got one for my son in law and he loves it too.

Good review of the new Henson mild. Would love to see a side by side comparison video - new Henson on one side and the old one on the other with the Henson RK blade. I really like all the Hensons (I have all three in my house mild/medium/aggressive)

Nice video Mark! I have never used any of the original Hensons or the new mild one. I do own the new medium version and I love it! Very efficient and definitely some good blade feel. Henson certainly designed these razors correctly because they weigh nothing, but they can mow down a beard in no time.

Love the newest Henson! Great shave!! The copper looks good - may need/want to get one. I've got the silver, black, blue and the titanium.

Mark, try a Shlyuz Classic DE safety razor. It's a razor based on an old Gillette Tech. One of my favourites. Mild but very nice 😊 Have a great day and greetings from Poland

Great shave Mark, thank you. Always enjoy a Zingari Man shave. Their soaps really lather a treat. Just curious: have you ever noticed any difference in blade feel from one side to the other of a Henson? Maybe it's just me, but it always seems like I feel one side of the blade more than the other (I use a 2nd gen AL13++). It does always give a great shave, no matter what. Cheerio!

Hey Mark, good morning! My name is Stewart. I'm using my wife's KZbin channel. I absolutely love your videos. You're doing a great job. I'm out of Naples, Florida. I actually owned a Henson al13 shaver and it was okay but it would cut my face a lot and it's extremely dependent on the angle. So I'm probably going to get a proof shaver probably made in Montana. That's kind of like a cartridge razor but with a double-edge safety razor blade kind of thing and supposedly it's outstanding. Have you done a review on one yet? I wasn't sure if you did but I love your videos. You're a spontaneously. Happy guy and that's a good deal. By the way, looks like your hand is infected. You got a big cut on it or something. What happened all right. Have you done a review yet on the Montana whiskey proof shaver with the little spring in it? That's you. Fold the blades in half. Great razor, i use vintage mostly however i reach for my henson mild if i want a great easy shave or had irritation i reach for the never fail henson a absolute fantastic razor.

I love the smell of this. A good find for $8.00.

Nice razor 🪒 but that Counter syn if you lose it. That would not be good. Like you said IF I got that razor I would buy extra of those just in case it ever fell out. Great you made this video. Seen another video about this razor and they never mention that !

Oh, one more quick comment. Regarding your alum block discussion, if anyone is looking to try alum for the first time I would highly recommend paying a little extra to get one "cut from the block" rather than a pressed block. The feel on your face is so much smoother and makes for a better experience. Like a chunk of marble. Cheers! -Scott

MMMB avoids a Windows crash! A clever shaving tip for keeping track of razor blades and the number of uses. For me, it's much simpler. I have one magnet and a single die to keep track of my blade. I never use more than one blade at a time. Most blades are retired after 3 shaves. There are a couple of favorites that I will use up to 5 or 6 times as long as there is no tugging. Looks like your coffee mugs are a big hit. Congrats and all the best in the week ahead.

Great show Mark! I was particularly interested in the Shave Den Visit as I have never heard of Kinghood Razors before. When I have my eye set on getting a new razor I tend fall in love with razors I can't afford, so I want to get something at a reasonable price point. When I was at the Maggards meet up last year I won a straight razor, which I don’t know how to use and would be a waste so I traded it to somebody for one of the new Henson’s aggressive. It was fantastic. I used the term was because my son asked if he could borrow it and he loved it so much he asked if he could have it. Nothing makes a wet shaver happier than having family and friends asking if they can have things and I love sharing my collection.

Another great 3MB Mark, thank you! That razor holder looks like a neat idea. If I had a 3D printer, I'd make one. My "low tech" process is to add a dot for each use with a black Sharpie right on the razor blade I'm using. Cheers!

Hey mark I also ordered the 6S and it was 70 out the door for a matte black version on gold palm accessories. It’s currently in Canada on its way. I think the catch here was the time it takes to ship. Other than that it seems legit. There’s also a red and blue one left at the same store.
