I’d like to see how durable it is. Oem you can scratch , scrape it and still the same color. I have to imagine you accidentally rub door panel with your wrist watch edge for instance. How much can it withstand before flaking or chip/peeling? Sadly this shows us nothing. Well, the dust coat on the leather jacket does show the color coverage appears like it will be good but that’s about it. Surely you’ll be applying 2-3 coats on it. How will it be then? Anyone could do what this demo showed us with just about anything off the shelf of Walmart.

I watched video and bought some and it's not working the way it's supposed to. It's flaking and peeling. I followed directions and it still didn't work right. Any suggestions

I think it would of been better and less work to already have the truck and door jams painted before you installed the interior

Yes. Go to LMC truck website, put in your vehicle year, make, model, and then go to interior and select colorbond paint. Then, there will be a lot of colors shown so just find the one you need.

It don’t work, I try color bond and dupi color, both cracks, just taking short cut and dye the right way, don’t make mistAke as I did and wasted over 300$ in tying to paint leather seat red

I wish I had read your comment before I bought mine. Luckily Amazon refunded me but a waste of time. Looks good until you start sitting in seat. Worked for about 90% but that isn't good enough

@@tanjirokibutsuji2740 I'm so mad right now 😡 because they made it seem like it would last forever. It really looks good once it's finished and then boom... Cracks, peeling, flaking. I got my money back so now I will just do like the smart ppl and get seat covers 😁. Thanks for the reply. Now I don't feel so stupid

Thanks for this good informational video. I am desperately ! seeking New (after market) ways to restore my 1994 GMC 1500 Sierra single cab truck. I want to do the very best I can. Ebay has junk as you know. LMC dose not carry the Dash I need. Shame on them ! If you can help me PLEASE gimme some info. Thanks again.

I have a 94' Sierra as well and the dashboard is beyond repair. Since no one makes a replacement for it your only option is to find a donor dashboard from a parts truck. I was fortunate enough to have found one a couple months ago that's in perfect condition. I ended up taking the entire interior from a parts truck I found online. I'll be posting a video about the painting and replacement process here soon!

To glossy !
@chaseww
@chaseww 3 жыл бұрын
I agree I don't like the glossy but it is your preference but she'll make your steering wheel a little slippery. I'd rather have not put the clear coat on. But again that's extra protection too I guess. After it thoroughly dries I'm sure you could take some steel wool really fine steel wool and go over it and take some of the gloss out I'm sure it won't hurt if you do a very light job with a steel wool

I prefer the trick I do with my old trucks. First I pull the door panel off ruining the plastic mounting hardware and cracking the panel in half hulking it off the door to fix the crap that broke in the door, then I throw the panel in the trash and im done

Hi, I have a few questions. I can't remove my car seats, dash, wheel and lord knows what else right? So that being said does this product leave a smell? Does it act like ordinary aerosol paint and risk overspray on my windows for example? In case I make a mistake can it be removed by paint thinner or a rubbing compound? Thank you, your help in much appreciated.

paint that never cracks or peels? why dont people paint their houses with this?
@derbigpr500
@derbigpr500 6 жыл бұрын
Because houses aren't made out of leather or vinyl. How do you think leathers are painted? Magic? No, paints. And do you see leather color peeling off? No, you don't.

This dyes and bonds to the material at a molecular level. Spray paint just sits on top of it.
