well I think I walked past there back in August last year around like the start or middle of August anyways just can't remember but today I went to circular Quay and I went to Gateway only just to record the escalators. I did not get to use the elevators because I was in a rush for my train back home and now I realise that I'm so stupid for doing that even for filming the transport like ferry or tram or going to the overseas terminal, I should've saved that for the last. I'm so dumb as well and oh well I think that's just a point of growing up. Sometimes we forget next time I would note to go to Gateway first and also another reason there was in a rush straight up and back down. The escalator was probably because everyone else was cold and all wanted to go home on the train but anyways this morning I also found a glass elevator the contemporary art museum. I was wanting to record out the back window but I could only stand where the panel was and I ended up recording the inside through the doors of the building due to the fact that again there are so many staff and students standing at the back and I wanted to be next panel just because the texture of the buttons and I'm also a little bit stupid for that as well. I don't know why I'm just so stupid today and if I would've stood at the back I could've recorded all the ships pulling into the harbour.

Nah these were EPL with Express DMR controls originally, Which the former had under license. Then modded by EPL Kone with TMS circa late 80s/early 90s before their Resolve mod about 10 years ago.

The arrow looks like KSS Series. And you did a great trick of pressing the door close button multiple times to prevent the doors from opening after it has arrived at a floor.

Yeah, this is also very nice but basic at the same time. This lift can also perform a quick door close where if the open button is pushed while or before opening, they close faster.

For the mistranslation though, the Chinese characters would’ve also said “NO ACCESS TO SHOPS” so it made more sense. This obviously isn’t too much of a thing, but it doesn’t even look staff-only and more like a public lift.

Why isn't Ground Floor locked off? It's meant to be locked off, like all the other floors.
@ElevatorsfromSydney13 күн бұрын
@@elevatorsfromsoutheastqld It’s pretty much for building laws, most lifts should have the ground floor unlocked so it doesn’t trap the user inside. Actually, I once experienced a 5500 in Wynyard with all floors locked meaning I was stuck, so I couldn’t get out even with the door open button. I pried the doors open and got out luckily. Pretty much that’s why the ground floor needs to be always unlocked, or it can lead to being entrapped.

Hello, to all of those reading this comment, I have decided to apologise about my ranting. If you've never knew about it, I might be temperamental but let's just get that out of the way for now until the end. The reason why I added "Extremely rude people!" to the description is because of the event that took place in the video; first off I would like to say that I am sort of like Ju L when it comes to pressing buttons more than once because I really love the feeling of it and probably are obsessed with doing that. And second, there were 2 people that told me off, in which one of them told me off rudely. One of them was an older lady that said "can you stop doing that please?" which was a little bit rude, but not too rude. And then we have this idiot Karen, which was young and probably in her 20s. Once the lift arrived at the platform 5 + 6 level, she said "cAN yOu- cAN yOU sToP pLEaSE? dO yOU HAvE a pRobLEM pRESsiNG bUTToNS??!?!" which targeted me a lot and is extremely rude, she could've told me off in a nicer way. As soon as I boarded the train home (which no, I won't reveal where I live) I was furious, and decided to share what happened in a Discord server with my messages at full caps. I know it's not the best way to control anger, but I had no other choice. If you were one of those people in the server I was in, I apologise for how crazy mad I as. So please, if you see someone like me or Ju L spam buttons more than once, let us be! I like the feeling of doing it more than enough so why stop us rudely? There are other ways of doing it nicely like saying "Not being rude, but can you please try to control yourself from spamming the buttons? I feel like that's more than enough times." which sounds more calmer and easier rather than being mean. Once again, apologies for the crazy rant in the description, I try to show and value my hobbies here on YT. Thanks for reading. - Elevators from Sydney, July 7, 2023.

I always get told off when I do it sometimes I do it. Someone put the hand over mine to stop me. but when it comes to Long beep ping buttons I would sometimes find it funny to hold it down and cause such an awful beep but when I'm in the elevator alone with no one else I don't get told off I have been told off for doing that sometimes got kicked out of the elevator but people just tell me off in a nice way
@JuL-dq6ho26 күн бұрын
i've used that one before when of the escalators was getting replaced and luckily for me there wasn't any rude people but people that didn't give me. The handrail was one and two dead let me push the button platform one two and four elevator is much more better cause not many rude people using it and when I went in there last time it wasn't that crowded so I say Townhall station in Sydney has got rude people according to the video title. Am I correct?
@ElevatorsfromSydney26 күн бұрын
@@JuL-dq6ho Yeah, that is definitely correct. One person wasn’t rude (well, a little bit) but the other is extremely rude. She even asked me what the hell was my problem with pushing the buttons.
@Train_Mate26 күн бұрын
Okay let me put things straight, I understand why they have asked you to stop because of the beeping every time you pressed one of the buttons, but at the same time people have their own problems for example I’m autistic. But to say “what is wrong with you” that b!tch was very very rude she doesn’t realise that if someone is doing something out of the ordinary that they may have problems (not insulting you in any way) I probably would start a fight there to be honest. I’m not trying be to be rude to you
