Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm looking at getting into overland mapmaking, and this is helpful.

What is room S3 (and the little f inside it)?
@TedDrawsDungeons6 ай бұрын
It's the top room of the tower. The F means "trapdoor floor".

Thanks for the pep talk. I'm a few hundred hours into the first overland map I've been digitally painting (as opposed to using a 'stamp-based' mapping program like Campaign Cartographer or Wonderdraft) and I'm getting to the point finally where the end of this portfolio piece o'introduction is done. Almost. Still plugging away at it, learning as I go. I don't do old school style dungeon maps, so no competition there. But I'm definitely doing maps and relying on my own illustrative style. So I'm just about to get to the point where I'll be able to switch away from the major huge extra-extra-extra effort portfolio piece and just begin to start putting time and effort into faster and smaller practice maps. Hitting that "do X type of maps for a year" and "share everything everywhere" phase you mentioned. Glad to hear the words of encouragement. And I appreciate you taking time to make the videos to help out. Thanks!

That was given to me by a fan. I use it to jot down story ideas and rough sketches. Isn't it cool?
