Unfortunately, I'm on the go and using very limited resources for editing my videos. The biggest problem is my GOKU stack's limited storage space reserved for BlackBox. For some reason Flywoo thought it's a good idea to have it not to overwrite old logs when recording the new one. So, in case my BlackBox is full, it simply won't record anything since it believes storage is full, and there is no overwrite option. I always have to remember to clean the storage before taking another flight... and I tend to forget that. I do have tons of other stacks with BlackBox storage, but all of them simply overwrite the oldest log file if there is no more space left.

@@BartManDude -it's amazing, much nicer than the lake Ontario where we used to live for over 19 years. Can't even swim in lake Ontario, mostly because of the Pickering nuclear plant and all the pollution they're spilling in the lake.

@@BartManDude - I just have to be careful, not many in these large cities are fond of our hobby. I have to take it easy, not too many flippy-flops because even slightest change in prop sound, will give them one reason to think _"... they're going crazy with those drones again, let's hate them even more than the last time..."_ My latest short video I'm working on right now, is from one of the Lake Ontario beaches, quite close to the city core... I had to take it super slow, there is tons of uniforms patrolling on bikes in that area, lol. Video itself has no FPV value whatsoever, but I just had to fly over there :)

It was super cloudy and rainy actually, the whole day. I waited to everything to clear out and around 6-7PM, it finally did.

Receiver's GND to GND on your FC, Receiver's 5v pad to 5V pad on your FC. Receiver's Rx to FC's Tx, and Receiver's Tx to FC's Rx. Whichever UART is assigned to your FC to be dedicated for connecting the receiver, you should use that. Every FC comes with wiring diagrams, so it's quite easy to find out which one should you use.

Almost, but not quite yet... Unfortunately, I don't support that game, since they take sides in the most corrupt war this world has seen in the last decade. Sorry for my little rant, but games should be games, and it should stop at that.

Haha, yes Cookie is "crazy". She never stops. Partly it's because she is just one year old puppy, and the other reason might be, she is half Border Collie, and half Blue Healer. You know those ones, you're from beautiful Australia :)

It wasn't quite easy, they sit very snug... but I guess, practice makes it perfect. It does not go easy, but also, you should not force it. Slowly and patiently :) EDIT: and it's all video editing, cuts where they're required. No one wants to see me struggling to take those caps off for 20 seconds straight. I already removed them beforehand and put them back half way, so it's way easier to remove them for the video clip needed.

Yes, you can take them off with case on. It's just it was easier for me to do it when it was all in parts.

Yes, that's nice indeed. The only problem is, they get overly excited, but they can't understand the dangers of 5" props... at least not until it's too late. @@BartManDude - no, didn't do anything in post except lens barrel correction and brought up the contrast. Original footage was captured with flat profile, so I just play with curves. That always brings all the colors back and then you simply adjust the contrast as you wish. Collar and the ball, as well as her freezby are all neon orange with blue, colors they see the best. They really look like glowing. Maybe I dulled those colors in previous videos, but if I'm remembering correctly, I believe they always look pretty glowy neon color. You can check the color of that same freezby here in this older video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnS8eKuBjM9oo5I . Ground colors look pronounced at that time of the day, and since it was super hot last few days, a lot of grass basically burned out. So green grass with orange patches looks more interesting, as well as most of the crops are yellow now. Nice combination to get colorful video. EDIT: and that drone animation in the left corner... that's all the flight data in BlackBox Explorer, exported as video and then synced with my flight. Notice the small sticks under that drone are showing exactly the same movements as the ones in the bottom center of the screen.

@@Seii-FPV Next time, I'll just ask instead of guess ;) That's great info, I had wondered how you got the sticks on there, kind of figured it had to be blackbox data, but it could've been anything as far as I knew lol. Unfortunately, another build will have to wait for a while. I'm in the middle of what's rather a gigantic move, and might even post less of flight videos until all this is completed. But, once it's done, I am sure I'm going back to posting on regular basis :)

The only problem is... those fields around coolies, and even flatland, is full of rattlesnakes. Not very enjoyable :(

I'm happy there is tons of other videos with "good" settings. None of my flight sessions uses any kind of stabilization, and that's how I like it :) So this HyperSmooth one basically stands out like a thorn in my eye :)

She's OK with that terrain now. I am only guessing, she's learned how to deal with those rocks, an it even looks like she's running differently, like more cautious for lack of a better word. I have not noticed her soft pads being irritated or discoloured anymore, and I am sure if it was bugging her, she'd stop running into water that fast.

I did though. I can't stand when stabilization is not done properly and HyperSmooth did not do anything right. I haven't noticed my HERO 8 shooting profile was left as the one with HyperSmooth enabled when we made a short movie with our Cookie, especially FOV was totally wrong. And that's the price I paid with this video. It literally makes me sick when I watch, but I wanted to keep it to have that as a bad reminder of how this small thing can ruin your whole session.

@@Seii-FPV We are always our harshest critics, best I can tell ;) That's exactly how I mess up my settings as well. Whenever I use the camera for anything besides FPV, and then go back to FPV without remembering that I just used a different profile, frustrating. LOL, I'll try and remember to stop by and comment on this video's stabilization every few months, just to remind you to always check your settings before flying ;)

@@Seii-FPV i could never get mine to handle the motion that well! But pretty sure it's rc5o since the original black version would be rc5, lol. i had the original 5 when it came out and then updated to the orange when it was released months later. I forget what they upgraded from the original 5, think the gyro or the sensor or something like that, the orange "was" basically a v2, although I see they make the newer orange version in black too now. Just noticed that the other day when i was thinking about buying a new one... I have two of the rc5o now, But thier batteries are not holding up well from beating them the past 2 years, theyboth have cracked and split housings, lol, last winter I finally got a new GoPro hero 8 black, it definitely seemed to handle motion better, but I crushed the GoPro on the 4th of July flying though neighbors fireworks when my battery lead got chopped and my demibot landed in the road on top of it, i didn't strap the lead down like normal during a quick bat swap... Dumb mistake... the runcam is definitely tougher

Yeah, it's just personal preference what we call it or what kind of abbreviation we decide to stick with. I always believed it's RCO5, and it just confused me because I thought you're thinking of something completely different. No worries, understood now. Yes, you are 100% right - housing of this camera is basically trash. I never crashed it or even just bumped it into something... just from simple sliding into my TPU cage, I've noticed it scratched the edges almost like I intentionally sanded it with sandpaper. Not very good plastic quality. I'm doing that same thing with my Session 5 and my HERO 8 Black, and there is literally not a single ding on those two cameras. The key to decent motion blur on Orange 5, at least in my experience, is to keep everything on manual, and I always use either ND8 or ND16 filters. The most important thing is shutter speed, but depending on your framerate, it's not always that it should be 180 degrees. For example, if I use 30fps, I mostly go with 1/60 shutter speed, but in some cases I use 1/120 as well. Here is a screencap of my RunCam 5 Orange settings - QR Code you can simply scan and your camera will have the same settings as mine. Remember that I use ND filters with these settings. Only because the other one was too thick and it wouldn't allow antenna to correctly turn 90 degrees. If you forced it, it would start separatig top and bottom part of transmitter's shell, risking to break something. Other one, the round one works much better, but still not perfect since there is no hard stop when reaching 90 degrees. The good thing is... I don't use either one of those two anymore. I've replaced it with my own design, which works like a charm, exactly as it should. It's visible in my newer videos, that swivel piece is purple now, I also printed pink as well. But it's printed from my own STL file. I will upload it here under this video soon, so it will be ready for download. I've designed it with much better clearance.

After I've fixed the problem with tolerances and the base being little too thick, I've ended up with new design that works amazing. Unfortunately, air is everything but clean in Canada. With all these chemtrails spraying us like never before, hardly anything is clean in this country anymore. Can't wait to leave it finally, after 22 years, it's enough. There are much nicer places I've visited in my life time, and the botom line, my Mediterranean is so beautiful, like no other place in the World... I might end up there again :)

Double-sided gel tape. That alone holds it without any possibility for receiver to move, plus all the wires are tucked inside the frame limiting the movement as well. At the end, I used small TPU strip to add another layer of protection, and it screws exactly to where those two screws are around the receiver. It's like little safety belt holding the receiver tied to those two screws. Totally unnecessary, double-sided gel tape is more than enough. Every single quad I've built so far has it like that, and I have never had a single case of receiver detaching or even slightly moving around.

I've noticed there was something weird with that battery when it first arrived from Amazon, cell readings were always off. And after a short flight, just after maybe 30 seconds into the flight, my active buzzer would start alarming me something is going on with battery. This was its last flight, and I intentionally pushed it little harder to bring it closer to its demise, but not too close to burn down my quad :)

Part were we decided to stay that day, is extremely rocky (with larger ones), so the first thing, even before I took off, I've told to my daughter was _"...where should I land, let's see..."_ That patch of tall grass seemed perfect, and I knew I have to disarm it on time, so I don't have to deal with grass spaghetti around my motors/props. It worked out pretty nicely :)

@@ClairettedeDie - That one in the video, can travel decent amount of distance, don't know exactly how far because I always fly in kind of a same circle... but I don't trust it as much as I trust my 7th custom build. That one is with true diversity receiver. I'm actually not so worried about the RC link, but I'm more worried about Walksnail Avatar signal. My 7th build has Avatar HD v2 with 2 antenna as well, so I kind of trust it more than any other custom build in my fleet.
