I am fortunate enough to have this magnificent recording on vinyl. I recall watching this with my dad on Channel 13 (PBS) in The Bronx around 1970 or 1971. A thrilling perfomance. Hey Itunes, you only have a 4 minute version of this on some 1971 reunion album. PLEASE issue this full version!

I was at this concert (actually there were several) at the Rochester Auditorium Theater back in the 70s. The acoustics are fantastic there. The recording doesn't do the song justice. The sound was so fat it just blew you back into your seat. I had goosebumps and the hair was standing up on the back of my neck. It was electric.

That would be an excruciating way to suffer and die ... I'd have to invent a multilayered vest combined with Kevlar, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, nickel, and tungsten to cover all of my bases

Gerry Niewood was in the Army reserve 98th division with my uncle. It really hurt when he was killed in that tragic plane crash over Buffalo years ago. Gerry was a blessing to the saxophone.

Practically useless. pH alone doesn't say much about water you drink straight from the bottle. Check the research: "While the ideal pH level of drinking water should be between (ACID) 6-8.5 (ALKALINE), the human body maintains pH equilibrium on a constant basis and will not be affected by water consumption." "Water with a very low or high pH can be a sign of chemical or heavy metal pollution." But it also can NOT be. "The optimum pH will vary in different supplies according to the composition of the water and the nature of the construction materials used in the DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, but is often in the range 6.5-9.5. Extreme pH values can result from accidental spills, treatment breakdowns, and insufficiently cured cement mortar pipe linings."

Man, this is really crazy and wonderful to hear again some 40 years later!...I was 17 when first stumbled onto Chuck when I picked up an album in my house that my brother left behind...and I thought "who is this cool Dude with the trumpet" (or so I thought)...it was the "Together" album and was totally knocked off my feet with Hill Where the Lord Hides....man'o man....quality never diminishes!...thanks so much for the post!

The reunion concert took place in May 2007. That's 37 years after the original one. In 2007, in place of "Songs from the Valley of the Nightingale" (Stanley Watson), Chuck Mangione's original "Bellaria" was performed.

Here are the lyrics: The song cries out somewhere inside my head a song remains And tells me with each lonely night she’s gone I’ve learned to get by not looking for the reason why And yet I could have been much more a man to you Whenever I seem lost and bare like this, the music of my soul makes you still exist How could you not be what I dream? Why must I, why must I cling to you? The song cries out somewhere inside my head song remains I know your love has died, but mine still lives with you.

I find that an empty garbage can in the kitchen will catch them too. They fall in and can not climb out again. My mother found a mouse that way and it freaked her out a bit. Frankly I think it is possibly a better mouse trap since they seem to clean out the traditional spring traps. It annoys me to have to bait the those worthless traps repeatedly. They must be junk traps. One more reason to get a cat. They will relentlessly chase the mouse and pounce on it and finally eat it. It is kinda schadenfreude to feel good seeing the mouse get what is coming to him finally after bating cheap mouse traps that do not seem to go off hehehe!! I am done being nice. I might build a bucket trap or some other clever trap. I always liked the idea of being a mad scientist.
