KZbin recommended this to me. Safe to say it did not disappoint🤍

This feels oddly weird why did KZbin recommend me this. Like a backroom but eerie/wholesome outplay instead of me dying

It looks like you are building beautiful structures in a lovely way. But I wonder how well this would stand up to an earthquake. It looks to me like the plaster would fall off of the wall. It looks like it needs more of a wattle lattice to hold it up

Always be careful with rattlesnakes, they are common in those places. I remember once I almost ran over one while I was mountain biking in some of those SJDS communities lol

Any workshops coming up in 2023 or 2024? We just finished a natural building workshop at rancho mastatal in Costa Rica and it was awesome. I'm interested in building potentially in Nicaragua! Would love to connect with some like minded and like hearted souls 🕉️🌅🌋🙏

This is the same thing Africans were doing (in peace) until the Europeans invaded their lands and called them barbaric and needed civilization 😂🤣😂
@rosaoddin4338Ай бұрын
Africans have experienced a lot of violence, warring tribes long before Europeans arrived. Most peoples are happy to have benefits of advancing technology, A/C, improved medical care, etc.

How did you set those 4x4 posts in the cement stem wall? Looks like some kind of metal plate, perhaps connected to rebar set in the cement? A bit hard to tell from the video. Thanks!

Yeah the metal plates were set in the concrete

Yes! At last someone else proving the fact that hay is as good as agricultural straw for building with in LCS. It's not straw you're using BTW.
@puremindaplacetosit7421 Жыл бұрын
Very true! I never worry about it, as long as its dry. Thats a great cob playlist you have there BTW, thanks for the comment.
@KennyRider13711 ай бұрын
I missed that. So hay works just as well as straw for the integrity of the structure?

We are moving to Matagalpa in March and I would love to build a cob house ! I’m 60 and move slowly but I think I could get it done….just not sure I am 100% clear on everything, like how do you know if there is enough clay in the soil, or are you buying clay ? Thx !
@puremindaplacetosit7421 Жыл бұрын
You should be able to find good clay around Matagalpa. There are several methods of testing clay content in your soil. I'll try to find a good video for you.

@@puremindaplacetosit7421 Thank you, that would be great. I wonder if their might be a local person there that has built with cob before. We won’t be ready for quite a while so nothing urgent but I think it would be very exciting.
