Best song ever. I am dutch, but Tarja put emotion in this song an Floor is too much screaming ( i know its her favorite song also). Juka and Marco will also be missed very much in Nightwish. Last ALbum is a big dissapointment and i liked every album sofar. Tarta was the muse of Tuomas and with her gone he lost his inpiration. Marco and Tarja working together now. Get Juka back and you have the original sound of nightwish back.

Doesn't come even close to Floors version. Tarja's note's and voice are wobbly and insecure (+ a whole list of other problems), which gives her singing a manic "bats in the balfry" feeling. + in the second part of this recording Tarja's voice is weak and and overshadowed by the background vocals.. Floor's version is so special because of the powerfull effortless etheral smoothness with which she soars over the instruments in the first part, and the flexibility with wich she uses her voice in the second part to portray and transmit a scala of emotions in the second part. And then of course that magnificent grand finale which Floor invented, which simple is missing in this version.

Go be a hater somewhere else. People come here because they obviously prefer this version. Regardless of who had the superior technique on what say . . . technique isn't the supreme reigning thing on what makes a voice. If it were, then you'd be listening to Dimash or Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston, but you're not because they don't do it for you. Because the voice is beyond technique. and guess what? Tarja and many singers give something Floor can't. Floor will NEVER be able to touch MANY early Nightwish songs, because Tarja's voice has a lot of grandeur and drama and sounds other worldly. It's thick, rich, succulent and has a dark and sometimes evil queen-like vibe. Her voice has a story or fairytale like presence that brings a drama that Floor just doesn't have. Just like how Sharon has the polar opposite of Tarja on the light spectrum. Floor is kind of just in the middle, jack of all trades able to dabble a bit in everything but I don't think she's a master of anything or has a vocal character that I define as being able to point out. She's just not that interesting.

I don't want to upset Tarja's fans, but it seems that she has no hearing, she constantly misses the notes - this is especially pronounced at the beginning of the song. In addition, in her performance it sounds too monotonous.

and you're here to dig at the woman who paved the way for your favorite singer becauuuuuse...? People have off days my guy and there are plenty of songs Floor will never be able to bring Tarja's magic on. She'll never touch Tarja on Passion and the Opera, her cover of PHantom of the Opera, Sleeping Sun or The Siren and many others. and it's not even because of technique. Floor's voice is just a jack of all trades, but when it comes to vocal character and a special " OH that is _____ " , she doesn't have it.

Great song and I will acknowledge Tarja is a fine vocalist and it this version is decent. However .... Floor's ending matches the last bit of the song, making it an epic crescendo and lifts the song from good to god tier . That's what's missing here . Note not dissing anyone, just prefer one over the other .

Tarja definitely just " has fun " and phones it in at the second portion a lot of the time. Which, I mean you can't push your voice EVERY SHOW on a tour. Her voice would be shot if she did that. I mean Nightwish songs do ask her to detour some from classical teachings and are hard to sing. and Floor not singing in one specific technique allows her to branch out in all sorts of techniques to decide what makes what easier to do ____, she isn't restricted because she doesn't have one sound she is going for. That said I think that " Jack of all trades, Master of None " approach is why while FLoor may be superior in some songs . . . . Tarja will always be the one who is superior in many others. Such as The Siren, Passion & The Opera, Sleeping Sun ( while it's not difficult by Nightwish standards, SO round and beautiful ) Sometimes Tarja's vocal qualities and traits just really mesh with a song and make something special that Floor can't emulate anything close to.
