I really enjoyed your video. I have both smooth and palmate newts in my pond but they only seem to be visible at night, when I use a torch around the pond They never seem to come near the surface during the day, in the way that yours do. Are there any tips that you can give? Most books suggest they are shy during the day but yours certainly are not. Amazing.

There are 4 ponds near me that housing developers had to build around as luckily the council refused them permission to remove the ponds. I love visiting them. Such a peaceful little space to relax and watch. Love my local foxes. Got me through Lockdown. I fed 11 foxes each evening with free food donated from my local supermarket. They would give me their leftovers each night. When some of the foxes had mange,i treated them with meds in the food. If it wasnt for them,i dont know how i would have coped being stuck in all day.

Bonito ecosistema en España tenemos el Lissotriton Boscai. Los anfibios son fascinantes y cada vez más escasos. El tritón palmeado si que lo tenemos aquí.

I have never seen so many newts. Seems to be more than one variety and a few toads thrown in for good measure. Well done, nice to see our nature being looked after in this way.

I just put a 125g plastic pond in this summer and I found 2 northern two lined salamanders still in aquatic form and I can't wait until my pond has more activity than dragonfly and daphnia nymphs, patience is a virtue I guess hopefully I can have a wonderful breeding amphibian pond like yours one day. Great work my friend!👏

Beautiful garden! Please may you tell me more about the air lines for the pond, do they require a pump? We bought a house with a mini pond and we have newts, wondered if I need this.

Did you try to have some fish in this pond?Maybe paradise fish can be good .maybe white cloud mountain minnow or rainbow shiner fish . All of them can survive also cold water

That would damage the newt and frog populations. Wildlife ponds should have no fish
