Look for the transcript for Lissimore v Downing. KK had relationships with transsexuals so for him to say anything about Rob is ridiculous. It’s in the court transcript, clear as day.

My top favorite black instrument players are Terrence Hobbs, Mike Smith and Jimi Hendrix. I said Jimi Hendrix just because I love death metal so much.

I met Terrance and SUFFOCATION in Manila airport. THEN I learned who they are. We shared a chat and the same flight. You couldn't meet a nicer group of guys. I've watched them ever since. Hard work, dedication and masters of their instruments. Pinoeers of the genre.

As a black chick familiar with Afro-Punk, I'm loving "Nu Metal" so far, this Hip Hop/R&B Disciple is dipping my toes in slowly, just discovered a bunch of sub genres, i like a handful, I've listened to Glam Rock in the 80's LOL

The funniest thing about this was that it paved the way for heavy metal to start dressing like the gay mens leather scene. My first concert was Point of Entry.

When are we going to get to a time when a person's sexuality is as irrelevant as how many nose hairs a person has? Why does homosexuality have to be discussed at though it were some kind of affliction or handicap? Pity the metal world is so homophobic. But little did the metal bands of the 80's know, that they were wearing spandex DISCO PANTS!

T Hobbs IS the OG pioneer of modern metal! Yes Chuck and Trey and Bill and others are legit and played huge roles, but what Hobbs, Doug and Mike Smith created is still the blueprint 30+ years later…

I hate the term black people are a monolith. Has anyone been to Africa? Many black people like metal from all over. Why dont white people from europe like country music, these are dumb questions.

Metal was very close to punk rock at the beginning. It was socially conscious, it could get political. I think the main thing that is going against metal is harsh vocals and what’s being said in the lyrics. Not every one can relate to Hammersmashed face, or Angel of Death. Hip Hop is more lyrical and touches on topics that everyone who grew up in that street environment can relate to. While it has developed at times into flexing wealth, that is something the culture still can appreciate, because the guy bragging came up from nothing and is now wearing Gucci and flying on private jets. While as a 16 year old who didn’t fit in, I found a release in metal. It’s kind of like it was made for me because I was an outcast. I was able to channel my rage through music. I grew up in a suburb and I didn’t like the same things as everyone else. I wanted to stand out in some way and metal was a catalyst.

I am black and I listened to heavy metal. I remember when my father hated me listening to Cannibal Corpse and wanted me to deleted the album off my phone, but I still listen to it. During that time, it was good and bad times for me. When it was the bad times, metal made me feel good and it got the energy out of me.

@BrucePointer6 күн бұрын
@@jamesedwards-tn6gp you got that right. Metal definitely helps you get the negative energy out and it also fun to listen to. Sometimes you have to look up lyrics for death metal because it’s like a language you need to decipher.
