"opponents seem to just dissolve around him". Very true, very true.

At 1:05. I remember seeing that goal live on 7 and sandy roberts & don scotts reaction. I think it was 1995. Always stayed with me and always wondered. " was that the greatest goal ever?? ". Whatever the answer is, it proves what a gift darryl white had. Genius.

Don Scott was the most miserable, and negative commentator of all time. Capper bought so much excitement to the game. Especially in Sydney where they were trying to grow the Aussie rules game in a rugby state.

As a lions tragic.. he was amazing and a roller coaster. Big time player. And we don’t win the flag without him. Thanks Joe

Nothing complicated about Capper's marking. He just kept his eyes on the ball.

The flamboyant and the mercurial have pretty much been eliminated from the game…although this Kai Lohmann is a joy to watch.

Any one of these marks these days would result in a free kick to the defender for “high contact” or “push in the back” or “inappropriate behaviour” or some such nonsense
@stevemurrell6167Ай бұрын
There's no doubt he sold tickets....what a star! Finished back with the Swans after a wasted stint with the 'Bears' who were all jealous of him....and then got a nice kick in the head from that dirty Norf ***t Mick Martyn.

The one at 6.30 not the kind of mark you expect to see from The Wiz, a strength sort of mark. That more a Lockett style grab. :)
@benjamingalagher3793Ай бұрын
Best mark ever,, the Wiz. When footy was entertaining.

80s & 90s footy was the best It's rubbish now
@scoldedcatАй бұрын
Agreed. They've messed it up with all the rule changes.
@carlhabyАй бұрын
Put him in the hall of fame. If his record doesn’t quite get him there, his personality and showmanship should get him over the line. He was a key part of the 80s and the national game. Probably has done more for that than any AFL exec.

The tension in his shorts released a shockwave every time he hit the ground

Wow, he actually jumped higher than his opponents hip on at least two occasions. At least he was quite a character in the game which is certainly lacking today.

He use to be so cuddly and excitable when he was a whippersnapper at essendon! Its so weird seeing him without the famous Moustacha, and actually celebrating his goals haha. Thanks for bringing us loyal lions supporters a flag in 2024 after 20+ long years since the famous 3peat. Enjoy retirement big fella 👏
