The most important question: does it smudge the screen, or is it perfectly clean?
@JessieEffendiАй бұрын
Hey I’m sorry for the late response, I didn’t see any KZbin notifications lol. It definitely doesn’t smudge the screen. But when I do want to wipe any smudges, I have to apply a little extra pressure. Still using the glove with my iPad Pro whenever it’s not lost somewhere 👍🏼

Idk I got it and it was ridiculously laggy..I had a pc and it was horribly lag and I have a REALLY good computer that I do gamedev stuff on. I'm an artists. I couldn't draw on it at all. The lag between each stroke was INSANE.

Keep in mind this video was from years ago. I haven't used the Luna Display in a long while to be honest. This video was made when it was only available for the mac and they really optimized it for the system. But also I believe I mentioned in the video that it's better when you use it connected via wire rather than wifi (maybe I didn't?) I unfortunately am unable to know what the user experience is like these days because I've converted to using my ipad mini for on the go digital art with adobe fresco or procreate, and my larger drawing tablet for my home drawing
@phoenixastra44297 ай бұрын
@@JessieEffendi Thank you! I was just wondering if I got the wrong thing. I did use it via wire, I tried both methods and did all their troubleshooting, talked to someone and ended up returning it. Maybe it's good for mac users only? It would make sense since they are devices meant to be used together! I' gonna try dual display. Thanks for the video anyways! I was just curious if I was doing something wrong xD tysm

My only gripe are the pen customization settings. I can't get the custom pen settings on the tablet to save, so it always goes back to default settings. Moreover I can't get export/import to work to try and work around it that way. It really fcks up my workflow and grinds my gears.
@JessieEffendi2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that! Before selling the XP-Pen tablet, I never customized my pen settings so I wouldn't have any insight on how to fix that issue. It wasn't until late last year that I switched my pressure settings on my wacom, which does save the settings so I wouldn't have to go in and change it all of the time. I'm not too familiar with XP settings anymore unfortunately. I'm currently using a Huion for my portable set up. I might be making a video on that at some point and I'll make sure to look into that setting. But yeah, although these products are great alternatives to wacom, there seems to be something that Wacom does better in a some features.

How you zoom in and zoom out rolate without click the shortcut? And the issue from the slick screen is very annoying or distrub?. What do you thing i f im compared with wacom one. With one the better. I want to buy one of them but feel confuse.
@JessieEffendi2 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry for responding late. I like to use keyboard shortcuts over the the buttons on the tablets. The shortcut in photoshop is to hold down z and you can move your pen up or down to zoom in or out. I believe you can change it for other programs like CSP as well. The slick screen you can just get used to. I've never used the Wacom ONE, to be honest. But XP and Huion both have great displays that are a fraction of the price of Wacom.

Thanks for the review! I used to be a “graphics tablet only” person but after months of using the artist 24 model at my job, I’ve been contemplating on getting a smaller sized display tablet and this one seems the perfect size and price range for me :>

@JessieEffendi3 жыл бұрын
Could be a number of reasons: 1) defective product 2) Not enough power from the power source. If you’re plugged into an outlet then that shouldn’t be the problem. But if you’re plugged into your computer directly with the red usb cable it might not draw enough power. 3) Your hdmi cable or hdmi port is broken Those are the things I can think of. If you have another pc or laptop to try it on, you can see if it works there. If you’re on Mac, have you gone through the set up process in the user manual?

It's a 3 in 1. So from the base (usb c connection to the tablet itself) of the cable to the HDMI portion it's about 5.5 feet. And then from the HDMI portion to the usb A connections it's another 2 feet. So in total probably around 7.5ish feet

I don't know why people buy MacBook..... waste of money for the poor cooling and performance.....
@JessieEffendi3 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely just a preference I guess. I had a 2011 macbook last 7 years and only stop working because my old dog peed on it when I left it on the floor lol. It worked great for me throughout college and a few years after and I had next to zero trouble with it. I hear the newer M1 models are incredibly optimized too so it solved some of the heat issues and has a big performance jump. That being said I have nothing against PCs. I just happen to prefer macs for creative work and use my PC for gaming.
@santanu-fr3 жыл бұрын
@@JessieEffendi I bought an Intel in 2009 lasted through my college. Played truck load of games without knowing I was seriously heating it. I was naive. Only stopped playing in 2016 thereafter I only used it for mild video editing. This year I bought an AMD but the Intel is still set up with a small monitor alongside the 250 GB HDD it came with. My friends MacBook I can't recall the name which cost around 2800 dollars been going to service centre for keyboard issues & he's tired of it , adding to his pain is his Logitech gaming keyboard making the runs 4 times now.
@JessieEffendi3 жыл бұрын
@@santanu-fr I'm not here to argue over which is better over the other. They both have their benefits and cons of course. Your friend might just be having the worst luck when it comes to his macbook. And you may have had great luck with your previous computer. I've had my current macbook for about 2 years now with zero issues while my buddy has a surface pro and absolutely hates it due to issues. So yeah, I can definitely see how someone's experiences with their first laptop/computer can really determine how they feel about the brand later down the line.

Update: Hey everyone I just wanted to let you all know that I have decided to sell this Pen Display. Not because it started to suck, but simply due to portability. I know in this video I mention that it's still a portable set up but after so many times of setting up and breaking it down it became sort of a hassle. There's a lot of wires and carrying a laptop plus this pen display together can make your backpack pretty heavy. I have since bought myself a refurbished 2018 iPad pro that works great. I'll be using a lot of Clip Studio Paint and Procreate on the iPad but I'm also going to continue using photoshop when I'm at my desk. With that being said, I STILL recommend buying the XP-Pen Artist 13.3 Pro IF you're in the market for a pen display to connect to your laptop or computer. It's a fantastic device! Here's a link to the video of me talking about my iPad Pro: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJS8n3aIbb16jLs

The white cover is NOT Baohong 100% cotton watercolor paper which is a/the high end cotton watercolor paper made in china. I like Arches’ sizing better in the long run, but for plein air sketching, these are great. Cheap Joe’s also has 100% cotton watercolor sketchbooks with Kilimanjaro paper as an alternative. I have both and do like the sewn binding of the Etchr books since I like to do two page landscape spreads.

I plan on getting a screenless tablet, do you think that is a better idea for someone just starting out with pc programs?
@JessieEffendi3 жыл бұрын
Hmm. I personally never liked the screen less ones but back then they were considerably cheaper than the ones with screens. I used the Intuos Pro for a bit but it took some time to get used to. There are pros that still use the intuos 3 and 4 so I would say you’re definitely gonna be fine! But if you could afford an XP Pen or Huion Drawing Display, I highly recommend it!

How's the fit on the fingers? I bought the V1 back in October and they were way too long despite using their sizing chart, especially the pinky. Although buying gloves online is always a crapshoot - I've already returned two Mechanix Wear gloves for this exact same reason.

I actually ended up cutting off the tips of my glove’s fingers because They were getting in the way for when I would type. If I remember correctly they were a little bit long but not enough to bother me. You can try to order a size down but I’m not sure how much smaller it would be

Thanks for the informative review! For me, I'd likely have it easier because: - I use Windows, in which it'll likely just ask me if I want to proceed with the installation of an application from an 'unidentified publisher'. I'm very sure Apple has it harder. - I use an older laptop from 2015, so I wouldn't need a USB-C hub, but I have a desktop PC from 2017 with a single USB-C port, and I wouldn't need a hub there either as I'd be connecting the display output directly into one of the GPU cards I have installed. - I found a used Huion Kamvas 13 for $350, and a used XP-Pen Artist 13 Pro for $350, so it'd be harder for me to decide. (prices in SGD)
