As an immigrant, "home " has as a very symbolic meaning to me. As a Eastern Europen (brought up in collectivist fashion) living in the West ,"home" is not only my family house. It is culture, it is people, it is connection that I find it hard to develop in the individualistic world. However, after living abroad for many years you realise that your "home" is neither in your country(as you have changed and the country you remember has changed too) and the place you live as no matter how much you want to assmiliate, your accent, your cultural way of being will always make you feel like outsider. "Home" as a bulidng that I owe for myself is also something that I dream about. Living in shared houses with others, changing locations - these experiences make you feel that home is everywhere and nowhere at the same. This song touched something in me, so deeply that I finally felt "home" within myself.. thank you❤
