hi, can I ask how you travelled to different places within the Bawean island? Is it through grab bike or motorbike or other forms of transportation? Also, can I ask if this would be a good destination for those who don't drive?

We traveled by motorbike ... sometimes each as passenger behind our guides, sometimes I drove with Jackie behind me. But you could find someone to drive you by car too ... Lina has a travel agency and you can ask her to organize transport so you can see the highlights ... small motorboats can take you for 1/2 day on the small offshore islands nearby :) Enjoy!

No problem with the strap after three seasons and a lot of anchoring and drops and retreivals but I did just order up two spares. Like you said, it can get slippery when wet. 5/16" one if that helps

So much plastic on the beaches! Absolutely disgraceful that literal rubbish is ending up on a place as unique and beautiful as Komodo!
@TropicalSailingLife
@TropicalSailingLife 8 ай бұрын
Yes, we agree. We all have to make our best efforts to use less plastics, reuse them when possible and dispose properly. It is still a big issue in Indonesia despite school awareness programs ...

Such a happy reunion! So much wiggling from your little voids! I've watched all your dog videos, and I've noticed your Schips all look very lean and sleek, compared to the competitive/aesthetic standards for the breed (thick and blocky-looking). Did you get them from a small breeder rather than someone who shows their dogs?
@TropicalSailingLife
@TropicalSailingLife 8 ай бұрын
Yes, we train our Schipperkes to be real adventurers and sea dogs so they tend to be leaner. Zoetke, our male. despite being from a lineage of champions is taller & leaner than typical; championship standards. Zonne, our female is more stocky-looking. Puppies are generally a little more like their father ... We do not overfeed them so they keep healthy and active. We are happy to know you enjoy our Schipperke videos ... more to come :)

It was an astonishing place when I sailed in from Tesman Plantation on Tara in 1975, its Stonehenge-scaled dancing ground made the more memorable by an old fashioned Aussie scuba air gage that hung up on a grain of coral sand, and damn near drowned me a half mile down current from our anchorage.

Overpriced total junk. Greatland Rescue Laser Flare Magnum Red.The laser does not work as stated by the manufacturer. Visibility on nighttime maximum 1 mile, daytime - 40 ft (according to the manufacturer's requests, respectively: nighttime 20 mails , daytime 1-3 miles). My $15 laser works 10 times better :) Replacing the batteries with new ones didn't help at all.
@TropicalSailingLife
@TropicalSailingLife 8 ай бұрын
Waow ... pretty negative feedback ... According to reputable testing by the company, their products do deliver the advertised specs .... Perhaps you are looking at what distance YOU can see the red laser dot ??? That is NOT the purpose of this laser safety flare. What matters is how far away from you, could someone see you. By example, if I am alone on a life raft in the middle of the ocean and I see a plane flying far away in the sky, and I point my device towards the plane, at what distance would pilots or passengers have a chance to see the red dot? That is what the Rescue Flare are designed for, not as a white board pointer like used in a classroom or a torch light. Please note that I am myself a user of laser flares .. I am not speaking on behalf of the manufacturer...

As I posted on Part 1, I was ships carpenter in Pompano beach Florida before they sailed to Belize. It was obvious that there were ?things going on below deck. I almost took the ride to Belize but delays kept me from going. I'm grateful for the experience and adventure as it was.

I was ships carpenter on board this boat in Pompano Florida. I bailed before they left for Belize. wish I took the ride but things were crazy before we left fla. it was obviously some kind of ?? grilled cheese sandwiches every day is what i remember. many many years have gone by since. Where are they now? all gone I assume. they were older than I was and now I am an old man. Got lost in Cuban waters and boarded by the crew of a Cuban Gun ship. All part of my history now. glad I did it. George

How busy and private is that place? Could you be naked if you were all alone? I would love to sink and play in that gorgeous looking mud but don't want to ruin my swimsuit, nor waste money to buy a one-time-use swimsuit, so naked is the only option

I’ve noticed that the women wear a black string/necklace around their neck that has drops in the front and back. The men have no such thing in their traditional costume. Is there some symbolic meaning to that black string/necklace?
