@metricOIL23 күн бұрын
@12VHotrodder the Polk sub is doing ok... but it's more of a 100-120 hz filler. But considering it's placement and small enclosure... it's holding up well.

Cool installation on the motorcycle! FYI, the 75 All Road Handset can also be powered from any USB power source! The BlackBox includes a USB jack for installations where it's in close proximity to the Handset AND there's no vehicle USB jack available. Most installs put the BlackBox in some convenient location that's usually far away from the drivers operating position. Then the Handset is simply plugged into a nearby USB jack for power. Also, it helps to keep in mind that when the 75 All Road is paired and connected to a third party Bluetooth headset it's possible to switch between the Handset and Headset in the BLUETOOTH menu. The "AUDIO ROUTING" menu offers the option of sending RX audio to external speaker jack on the blackbox, BT connected Handset/Headset or both Handset and external speaker jack! On the antenna, based on your TX test, the SWR showing on the 75 All Road suggests the CB antenna isn't loading properly but it's not the end of the world. Make sure the antenna Coax shield is bonded to the motorcycle frame at the antenna feedpoint. That should help but motorcycles will present a challenge for properly loading a CB antenna. Last comment, the 75 All Road SWR meter function is actually an accurate SWR meter function. There's a microstrip directional coupler designed into the Black Box PCboard assembly and the main microprocess is actually calculating the SWR on the fly by using the RF forward and reflected energy provided by the microstrip directional coupler. If your purchase a modern digital SWR meter it works basically the same way as what was done in the 75 All Road. How cool is that?

I wish they would’ve put cruise control on the older models, I’ve thought about installing a throttle lock, but unsure of the safety of the ones I’ve seen so far.
@AdoptedYooperАй бұрын
Don't forget to tune your antenna with an SWR meter if required. Your SWR was over 3, which could burn out your finals. Don't transmit until you're ready to tune your antenna 🙏

This is not just a "Better Value" than ANY Harley Davidson, but it is an IMMENSELY BETTER MOTORCYCLE than ANY Harley Davidson! I've owned and ridden both Harley's and the Kawasaki Voyager (I have one now) and the Kawasaki IS BY FAR a MUCH BETTER MOTORCYCLE than ANY Harley I've ever ridden. The Kawasaki is MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE, requires a LOT LESS Maintenance and Repairs, and is a GREAT RIDE, at probably HALF of the cost of a Harley! The Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager IS HANDS DOWN BETTER than any Harley Road King, Street Glide, etc.!

Great toolset..bought mine in the early 90s as a poor college student and still have it. I rebuilt my car and serviced many others with it. It's limitations are when you actually need 12 point sockets and a finer toothed ratchet, tight spaces can be challenging.

One would think in all this time they would have changed the neck bearings to the metal ones. I had a Goldwing and the used the plastic ones as well,...I was told by the mechanic these are the same plastic bearings found in bicycles. I have the 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager, have not flashed mine afraid it may void my warranty so I will wait 6years when it's up. I have no problems in low rpm no shaking. The only issue where I may need the flash is for the bike running hot.

I've got a 2014 Vaquero I bought used exactly a year ago( Feb 3, 2023) and in that year I've put almost 15,000 miles on it. I still have not ivanized my bike yet but I want to badly. The only thing I have done to it so far is to put oil and gas in it. I will check into those neck bearings, I did what you said and I've got some light shaking when I let go of the bars, but like you said, mechanically this bike is extremely low maintenance, I love the fact that all I have to do is keep the oil changed(every 3500 miles) and use super unleaded fuel. I've taken it on several 1000 mile trips and never had an issue. Thank you for having an informative channel and keep up the good work!!

The case is the worst ever. Snapped in less than 65 opening/closing (under 5 months). No warranty on the case just like the lousy BMW badges that fall apart after 6 years Get the ATG's instead because they are impact rated in sockets/crowfoots/ratchets/splines. Takes Metrinch over 22 years to come up with a decent case. Just too much play when you are ratcheting in tight areas making it useless.
