I can't believe juries buy this stuff. The attorney asked, were you deceptive to the cops? Oh, you were deceptive. Why were you deceptive? Oh, so you use deception to stay out of trouble. And then the cops told you that if you cooperated, it would probably be better for you, right? Okay, attorney, well, the cops are deceptive, because if you cooperate, it's not better for you, the only thing that's better for you is to shut your f****** mouth. So if the cops told him it was better for him if he talks than they're being deceptive, so apparently cops are just as deceptive as the person you're accusing of being deceptive

If you are interested in contrast, go to Neil's channel and contrast the man you see here with his interview with Tony Buzbee. Mr. Buzbee seems to have a completely different motivation than does Mr. Rockind...taking only cases that motivate him from an emotional and intellectual point of view. Cases that don't necessarily have money in play and helping folks fix something that needs to be fixed. I can admire that. I encourage Mr. Rockind to evolve past his own description of the 'Major component' of his stratagy being that his clients, 'can afford to go to trial or I would not be taking their case'.
@steveshaw278410 күн бұрын
Direct quote from his website...'A major component of my strategy is the fact that my clients can afford to go to trial or I would not be taking their case'. You are welcome to unpack that anyway you like. Is he actually making the world a better place? I suppose that depends on what state the world is in at any given time.

This attorney charges by irritations per min...not words. That is what he does. He is the actual narcissist. Also, always the life of the party and always the smartest person in the room. His wit is commensurate with his IQ. I hope he has become a better attorney in the ensuing years.

So the defense lawyer through his questioning is admitting his defendant provided drugs at least once. Witness is correct in stating the police, district attorney, and likely the defense counsel questioned him multiple times and likely provided him leading questions to change his story.

The question was, how many times he was OFFERED drugs. There was a second question of how many times he had TAKEN them. Those are two different things. I haven't done an illegal drug in my life, but they have been offered to me before, and I declined.

Wow. At six minutes in, I thought the witness had said that he did not know if someone could have given him ketamine without his knowledge, and the attorney claimed it was a new accusation specifically identifying someone, that the witness never claimed before. This is classic manipulation of the witnesses’ words to undermine his credibility.

I like this judge - she was in another of the thousands of trials I have watched. This kid had a good answer for the question asked. I love that the judge allows for the witness to express what they are feeling and, that she asks direct questions to move things along. The tone of the lawyer was fantastic! Totally great job!

"isn't it true that at the preliminary examination, when I first asked you, wasn't it your goal to deceive the police...and you threw the drugs, that you lied; you denied that was your intention?" Is crazy. This witness is not credible, but he didn't have to be a witness in the first place because he clearly thinks he is and was not drugs, simultaneously. Halfway through questioning, cross throws down the entire book and goes to the pages at the back to follow up on the, now very evident, proof this kid is a pathological liar. Don't talk to police. Don't be drugs.

Perfect example of police testi-lying. He's deliberately evasive throughout questioning. At numerous times, he needs to be backed into a corner by the judge and defense counsel before a clear answer begins to emerge.

The guy seems like a millenial snowflake who is used to getting away with lies because his parents and teachers never wanted to hurt his feelings. The lawyer is mercilessly exposing his lack of character and lack of integrity. The kid is unable to come clean and admit to the whole truth.
