Well done Burton m.e for encouraging young members to join and drive the loco's. We at the Melton club also do the same. Such a shame we don't get more coming along. Well done guys!

Wow that little loco can move! How many passengers could it tow?
@theriversideminiturerailwa8659
@theriversideminiturerailwa8659 2 жыл бұрын
It often pulls around 10-15 passengers. However, it could probably pull a lot more! Despite their size, they are strong locomotives.

Greetings, nice video! Can you help me? How can I buy a small steam locomotive, as I saw in the following video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKHGmIKBgZp0oqs I would appreciate it very much if you send me an ebay link or a contact where I can buy such a small steam locomotive, not the size to carry a person, your locomotive rs is very nice but I would like one as seen in the video that you I sent, I would like your advice. Greetings. Ariel

Hi Ariel, thanks for your comment. I'm afraid we don't work with this gauge of locomotive so therefore do not have much knowledge on where to find one. I would recommend searching the gauge of the loco on ebay or just general google as well as auctioneers and see what you can find.

Why pump water in before firing? Why don’t you remove safety valve and just fill it?
@theriversideminiturerailwa8659
@theriversideminiturerailwa8659 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, in theory you could fill it by removing the safety valve, however you'd have to refit it every time. Plus you still have to fill the tank. Our members find that it takes less time this way and is easier. Plus it gives them more running time!!
@Gauge3
@Gauge3 3 жыл бұрын
because your removing a safety device which is part of the boiler test, so removal makes previous test invalid. but more so, you may drop the safety valve and scratch your paintwork, or drop it on the floor and ruin the threads and perhaps if you don't notice , the boiler threads when you attempt to re-fit.

Maybe one day! I have a 5" gauge electric diesel I built using a Maxitrak plus driving truck and a carriage which I built plus 100 metres of track (not laid as yet) All in Portugal. Actually it was my wife's idea, after she visited the GMES to see their G-scale.
