Vern Miller is playing a six string bass? I saw them a few times but he was always on a traditional, four string bass. Hardly anyone used six string basses until Jack Bruce, in Cream. These boys were ahead of the curve; not a surprise to me.

Saw the band play around Fairfield County in the mid-60's, before they toured with the Beatles. Great live band, high energy - as good as any of them. They never valued their original material very much and my Westport friends and I thought they were going to be a hit machine with the stuff they were writing. Still have their first album.

There are Vines songs that are not my favourite but the individual live performances make them suddenly great to listen to. Thanks for the upload!

I am FLOORED by this version, how did these guys not get a modicum of fame? This is on par with every other British Invasion Band of the early-to-mid sixties.

my brother died in 2002, when i was a teenager i found a burned CD he had made and it had this performance of Farmhouse ripped onto it. i had never heard phish before, and this song makes me extremely nostalgic for my older brother. When i was 18, i left the CD in my car when i sold it. i was so upset, i felt like i had let my brother down and lost part of his essence in that CD, it was all i really had left of him. I just searched all over youtube, and this is the exact version from his CD. it brought tears to my eyes to hear it again after all these years. Thank you very much.

This one and Jimi's version of this are my two of my top favorite versions of this. so much raw heart, power and feeling. Barry sings it as if he penned it himself. horribly under rated.

So it took me 18yrs to find this song since I was introduced to nirvana. Nirvana will always be my favorite for many reasons but my love of the 60s stemmed from my love of early nirvana albums and especially demos - basically the garage rock sound like the sonics and many others. I just found this song today and I’m so in love with the remains now because of about 7 songs that were released on their 66 album. Apparently the album released after they disbanded which wasn’t abnormal (like Savage Resurrection) and many other bands. Just wanted to say u were spot on with the nirvana reference and it’s crazy to me that nirvana is really the reason I’ve found my way here after all these years
