I'm not a railfan, but my dad's a retired locomotive engineer for CN. It's still weird to see the company name as CPKC. It's sad but also maddening how these giant corporations keep merging and growing into fewer, more powerful entities taking over the world.

I was there on Sunday! the new line is great, it's going to be transformative for the whole region when it's finally connected to the 1 Line. Huge step forward for transit in the region

@@stevenwagner983 been wondering this myself. I could see them keeping the route as a redundant backup but since the line is basically identical but I could see them reducing frequency during peak hours. the train will absolutely blow its capacity out of the water and it'll be faster
