Very nice ! And in 11, wow ! I love the Cooperman Ghaval. A dense and thick shell just sound amazing. I have the 13.75'' rosewood/maple standard ghaval and also a customized 15'' in mahogany/curly maple. The 13.75'', I removed the rings and bells and installed fixed internal shakers. The 15'', I also changed the rings and bells with new die cast brass rings and small ghungroos indian bronze bells. It is heavy but this adds so much to the overall sound and possibilities.

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a new marimba, and I came upon the Trixon (which is ridiculously inexpensive). It's hard to really tell what it sounds like through the video (it kind of sounds like a synthetic marimba or xylo, but I don't know how much of that is just the recording quality). Can you tell me what it's like compared to other marimbas you've played on? How would you rate the quality of the bars?

Wowww I feel inspired to try out that instrument! I heard that u can build a used 5 octave barimba using Corbandy Simple Instrument Crusher , try it out for yourself! Google :)

its kinda cool to realize how smacking on the side of the drum adds to the sound so well. im sure many people like myself take some of those sounds for granite without realizing its there

These two men are the most incredible performers ever! Mark Holland is the best on Native American Flutes of all types and N. Scott Robinson is without a doubt the best percussionist who ever walked this earth! I have been fortunate to see them at Native Rhythms Festival in Melbourne, Fl, a totally free event for visitors, each year since the festival started. In awe at my computer, I just was blown away once again by their combined talents. Guys,PLEASE return to Melbourne in Nov! I LOVE YOU!!!!
