Got to see this in 2014 with the NJ All-State Honors Orchestra perform this from a very unique perspective. I was a tenor in the choir, and we shared the stage with the orchestra for the entire concert. This was the orchestra opener, and because of an injury, I was sitting at the lowest level of the risers. I was about a foot away from the mallet percussion, and the pure energy they had with this piece (as well as the whole ensemble) was insane. The entire choir was blown away with this piece and I still come back to listen 10 years later Amazing work!

Bit off the wall for my taste but outstanding talent no doubt. Like to know Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull's take on this,he is a superb flute artist.

Very nice, beautiful composition! I wish more compositions like yours would be performed instead of the same old grand masters over and over again. If interested, here is a piano concerto that I wrote and got recorded last year: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnetaXirYt6Fgtk Let me know what you think and perhaps even comment ;-)

Hi, miss Galbraith. I am very impressed by your concerto and all your works. I would be interested to play your concerto with my French orchestra (we are l’Orchestre d’Harmonie de Rennes, from Rennes in France) I have got the project to play your concerto with piano on stage with a company of dancers. The soloist would be part of the choreography ! And the second piece of the show would be « An American in Paris », arranged for band by Cesarini ! I am looking for your score. But I don’t know where I can buy it. Could You help me, please !

My 3rd and 4th grade students heard this yesterday at the PSO's "Made in Pittsburgh" performance, and it was one of their favorites. They keep asking for the title so they can look it up and listen to it again. We really appreciated the extra insights you shared about how you composed this piece. Thank you from South Side Elementary!

Sounds a bit like John Adams - although for every passage that sounds like him, there is one that does not. Sounding somewhat like Adams, but not exactly like him is no bad thing.
