I really don’t see why this matters. Just pick the ball up. It’s really not that complicated.

b. You picked the right shot and were turned appropriately, but you didn’t keep your eye on contact so hit late while aiming down and wound up in the net.

Good coversation, very helpful. Also with the second serves, it's so true. Being frustrated about not making enough first serves ruins my game, as I am only thinking about the poor serving performance. It's much better to concentrate on the rallies instead, and often the real first serve comes back when I stop being negative about it.

To play serve from this position totally agree that it will work better from Ad side ....with kick serve ....and from right side ...if it's young player you can be punisher with down the line shot ... but for the kids ... it will not be that easy to receive precise return ... so it can work as strategy .... and even if you will play serve from right side .... you can target the body ...no necesary to be wide on Forehand

Sampras serve is so difficult to imitate. I think he had ridiculously fast shoulder rotation from trophy pose. I think most people would have rotating cuff fly off at that spe😅ed

Well done. But can ya keep up that intensity in the long term? If ya can, you're mentally, as well as, physically elite. Judging by your college history, you've been both. Maybe not like the money making pros but still at a higher level. As for the rest of us...

If that’s the case, why is every racquet’s recommended tension range between 45-60lb?

I find picking it up with the inside of my left foot and racquet the easiest; it feels more natural than the outside of the left foot. (right handed)

any recommended drills/practice tips for increasing consistency and accuracy? my first flat serve is a rocket when it goes in, but i can only hit several consecutive ones during practice and during a match without a ton of warmup i suffer with consistency for several games. i don't even consider accuracy much until consistency goes up. i've started to slice more on the first serve and drill my second kick serve more to compensate, but would love to get my first flat serve in more

I think the argument is that some designs help encourage or optimize the swing paths for generating spin, like aerodynamic throats, and some grommet designs help the swings (edit: strings) move more. If you’re already producing spin, it makes it more effective, and can sometimes be less good for flat hitters since the trade off is control on flat shots.

Touché 😂 I gotta admit it...I fell for it. I bought 2 Head Extreme MP recently. It's not a spin machine on its own 😂 but I do like it more than my other rackets (Wilson Blade 98, Babolat Pure Strike 100).

I actually have Shift 99L.I changed my rackets and told my opponent what they thought about Shift and the opponents did say it is a lot more spin than my AeroPro. However, once I used my Shift 99L suddenly I had tennis elbow. I am not sure whether it is my racket or my technique is the main problem

Well if your opponents play very powerful and you don't have optimal technique, a light racket will hurt your arm more for sure.

In simple terms... the LEFT foot crossing over the RIGHT creates G-FORCES from running both BACKWARDS and to the RIGHT, which creates a gravitational pull AWAY from the COUR. -Rotating to the LEFT by pulling your LEFT foot BACK creates a more powerful swing-path towards the court. This is also true for the righty forehand, when you pull your LEFT arm BACK while rotating during your racquet swing-phase.
