I don't quite agree with everything he says. There can be several meanings to any particular text. The author did have one meaning in mind, but the Holy Spirit can use the text to mean whatever He wants you to learn at the time.

He's talking about the Israelites who were freed from bondage and slavery in Egypt who were led out by God through the wilderness and into a new land he was giving them. Are you an Israelite who was living roughly 3500 years ago who was freed from slavery and led by YHWH the Almighty God, who gave them the Law, who made the people tremble with fear, who provided them all their every need, and talked face to face with Moses? Clearly you are an unthankful and ungrateful person, nor have any respect for the kind and merciful God who gave you life and the ability to be able to work hard and take care of yourself, who can take it all away in any instant anytime he wants to and send you to 👎🏻
