I wouldn't call it the ball of the century. There are many other bowlers who have bowled similar good wicket taking balls. It's a disrespect to those bowlers to call this specific ball as the ball of the century. Not taking anything away from Wakar who was one of the best pace bowler in cricket history.

Hanif you were the greatest. As a kid I saw you play a lot, I cannot ever forget how you scored a century on a matting wicket against Wesley Hall in Karachi in 1959. If you had played on todays pitches, your batting average would have been in the high 60s. Sunil Gavaskar of India resembled you a lot- both of similar stature and intense concentration. You played just 4 innings in Australia with scores of 110 not out, 95, 104 and 93- the last two being in the only Test Match at Melbourne in early 1965. That’s how GREAT you were.
