Great profile, i was wondering about the inclusion of lurrie over lacrima, because as you said tract can discard any tear card for effect, in which case i assume lurrie would be the normal summon. Isn't lacrima a more impactful normal summon as she could bait interactions from your opponent and maybe set up the gy for some plays during your opp's turn? On the topic of metanoise i usually like to include one in the main not exclusively for setting it but because the gy effect is nice recursion especially in the tcg where you have access to 3 tearkash. I also considered 1 heartbeat in the main because it's a very nice card to have against ryzeal specifically but the gy effect comes up way less often (9 tear monsters vs 3-4 tear traps) so i decided to keep it as a 3 of side card. One last thing, will you ever make a video about siding patterns in tear decks? I find it one of the most challenging aspects of building tear in the tcg!
@victorsadventures-2 күн бұрын
So more often than not, you’re still gonna be discarding the Lurrie off the tract instead of discarding a tearlament card. The only time we elect not to discard it, is if the hand is bad and desperately needs a tearlament card (whether it’s to fill the grave or search another tear card). As a result Lurrie is actually better in this version that focuses solely on the rank 6s than lacrima. Now that’s not to say lacrima is bad, because it definitely has its uses. Being a level 4 monster that is capable of baiting hand traps and gives you/recycles resources during each player’s turn is obviously good. It just doesn’t truly get to show off its potential unless the extra deck is entirely dedicated to the Fiendsmith cards (ie playing sequence & Desirae). I agree with the metanoise & heartbeat takes. I’m constantly going back and forth on if they warrant a slot in the main deck, but usually settle on siding them because they definitely lose their effectiveness depending on if you’re going first or second. I’ve always thought about doing a side deck video, but the main thing that prevents me from doing one is that the side deck is just beyond volatile. The information that I would provide becomes obsolete fairly quickly, since decks are constantly evolving leading to cards being extremely good one day and then abysmal on another, running into unexpected match ups, certain main deck cards suddenly being good due to main deck changes, and so on. I really wish I could, but it’s sadly just not possible.
@captainwarlock2642 күн бұрын
@victorsadventures- i definitely understand what you're saying for lacrima, as for the side i'm kinda struggling to understand what to put there, because cards i'd 100% main in a deck that has 12 non engine slots like nibiru don't have space in the main in tear and then the question is: do i keep power spells like super poly in the side or do i make space for a handtrap that's exceptional against the current meta? I have the heartbeat, the d barrier which is mandatory, lancea (or chaos hunter) and i'm already at 9 cards. So between super poly, nib, droll, a bunch of other silver bullets plus a few going first cards like cryme it becomes very hard to choose and i feel like i'll either have to slightly up the number of non engine in the main or accept that i won't have some good options available. Thank you so much for your comment btw, i really appreciate it (and sorry for the length of mine lol). I can't wait to see a deck list for a more budget version of tear, i really like the fiendsmith engine but until they reprint engraver i'll only be able to use it in simulators 🥲
@victorsadventures-2 күн бұрын
Don’t be sorry, I actually love when people make comments that allow me to go more in depth into my choices/mindset more clearly haha. As for what you should side, it’s looking like we’re going to be in a two deck format, which in theory should make siding easier. The 9 cards you’ve settled on should help you cover most games, since they’re super effective against maliss & ryzeal (plus a bunch of rogue decks). As for the last 6 cards, let’s start with hand traps. The only time I will ever side hand traps is if they’re high impact (droll, spooky dog, & the mulcharmies are great examples). Of these choices, you then would make a choice based on the needs of your deck such as what they would be good against (meta & rogue), can they be used going 1st/2nd, cost (if you’re on a budget), and if they fix any issues (for tear time definitely comes up a lot, since the deck naturally takes long turns). With all this mind, I would probably lean towards droll currently, just because it meets the most criteria. Now that we’re up to 12 the last 3 slots really don’t matter too much, since the current 12 should in theory cover most match ups. Thus, these should be devoted to good generic cards that you feel will cater more to your local scene/what you’re scared of and the unfortunate part is that there is no correct answer because it is impossible to prepare for everything. All I can do is provide you with a list of cards that are always solid choices. Some of my favorites are Feather duster Shufflers Tearlament 1 ofs Scattershot Thrust Talent Change of heart And these are by no means the best choices, since it’s very easy for you to find some secret sauce that would help infinitely more than any of these cards. Like I said, it’s ultimately up to you to decide no matter how difficult it may seem 🙂
@captainwarlock2642 күн бұрын
@@victorsadventures- this is very helpful, i'll add that i play talent and both shufflers in the main. I don't think i'm going to replace the former since it's probably the best card for going first and second but i should reconsider the latter as they were kind of an autoinclude just because they have never left the main in md. Called by was another choice in the side but i might try to main it simply to have a small chance against shifter and the charmies. I also have to seriously consider scattershot or dogwood, i always forget about time rules

Unfortunately the ryzeal cards just has a really favorable match up against tearlament do to detonator destroying key cards such as sarcophagus & planet. Not to mention the deck also plays abyss dweller, which has always been a pain for this deck to deal with. You pretty much have to play cards like forbidden droplet just to have a chance when going second against the deck. As for the Lightsworn comment. This whole week is basically going to be dedicated to nothing but Lightsworn and Tearlaments, so stay tuned!

Main deck was okay aside from the terrible take that reign-beaux can be played at anything less than 3. It's a mandatory 3 of and grapha is a mandatory 2 of. Also you don't have the level 4s for dugares or bagooska. Bagooska isn't even good. Which uh... leads us to the mess that is the extra deck. Honestly just cut bagooska and chaos angel and add kngihtamre gryphon and tri-gate wizard. You should be, absent multiple hand traps or a bad hand, able to rip 4+ AND set up the "standard" minimum end board of muckraker, tri-gate wizard, knightmare gryphon, nightmare cerberus/phoenix, and the grapha fusion.

@victorsadventures-6 күн бұрын
Yeah basically the only difference, between beastking & king is that beastking is a level 4 monster, so you have an easier time making Bahamut shark/Toadally awesome, which is more important than ever due to the loss of cards such as apo & barrone.
@captainwarlock2646 күн бұрын
@victorsadventures- yeah i figured, since i can't afford the fiendsmith engine which would replace dangerous and malicious i'll probably have to stick with kots for the time being. I've played tear in master duel for a year at this point and trying to build this deck for the tcg is giving me a real headache, not only for the obvious difference between bo1 and bo3 but mainly because of the banlist. In master duel you have no field spell, no merrli, 1 sulliek and 1 tearkash and yet the deck feels so much more consistent thanks to kit, even for small stuff like the fact that trivikarma is your only way of adding scream in the tcg

I really like this Lightsworn deck build, especially since Fiendsmith is still way too expensive for me. The list is overall coherent, I just think there’s room to add more go 2 cards by cutting some options like Zephyros, for example. We can add board breaker or maybe 3 ash for fuwa… it’s sad but its important to have a solution against it. I’m not a fan of playing just one Felis because, very often, you really need two for your combo. Otherwise, I really like your take on Raiden. I think it’s our best normal summon, and it’s not as bad as some people claim.Most of the time Raiden brings great value, whether by milling Wulf, Felis, or Trickclown, obviously, or simply by milling a Dark or Light monster. As you said, this allows us to summon Chaos Angel with a Bystial and Raiden, which provides us with a lot of protection. That’s why I personally play two Raidens. We have so many options in the Extra Deck, and I like yours. Personally, I’d just add 38 as second lvl 8 options which I really like, but that’s just personal taste. It would be cool if you made a test hand video for this build, like you did for the Fiendsmith version :)

Hey great video, is there a possibility you could make a 60 card deck profile combining the engines? I'm talking tear, sworn, bystial, fiendsmith and maybe horus for your rank 8 options? Or do you think the 40 card lists are the way to go with "mill" decks?
@victorsadventures-Ай бұрын
Playing a 60 card deck just seems so unnecessary, because the 40 cards versions do the exact same thing, but more consistently. This is mainly due to the fact that you play way less bricks and are more likely to see your power cards even though I know Yugioh law dictates that 60 card players never brick.
@syla6894Ай бұрын

It’s still very much possible to loop your opponents hand, while only giving them 2-3 extra draws. You just need to guarantee that the hand you open up with is capable of doing it, since you can’t rely on saryuja, dugares, and coach king to get you there. It’ll typically be one of the above (saryuja) plus an IP & one of your bouncers. You can’t really rely on the other two if you want to beat fuwalos.

For every hand of planet charge and extender, you’re bound to draw a hand of unplayable cards like wulf, Felis, and scream. The deck just trades consistency for power, in the form of all the bricks you play. It’s a problem that’s plagued lightsworn since 2008 unfortunately. All you can really do is lower the number of Felis & wulfs being played.

Not to mention constantly being bombarded by hand traps means that you need to be able to adjust your plays on the fly. All you can really do is practice and trust in your own decision making.

I think it Kinda sucks, but maybe i just build it wrong, i played it with thunderdragon, horus and bystial. Anyway great profile mate i will play it like that
@victorsadventures-2 ай бұрын
Yeah the side deck is basically just board breakers & mulcharmy cards. I do side 3 threatening roar to deal with any deck that plays shifter and can otk (tenpai) to ensure that I can at least get another turn though. As for the second question, I agree with the grass variant being inferior for a couple of reasons. 40 cards is already incredibly consistent at milling out the entire deck, which means that playing grass to mill as many cards as possible is just unnecessary. Not to mention, you tend to include more bricks for the sake of being able to have “good” mills. The second reason I don’t really enjoy grass is that the card that benefits the most from it is Fairy Tail - Snow, who is currently banned (especially in your case with the thunder dragon cards). Even though grass is an incredibly ignorant card, there just isn’t any reason to include it in the deck, since the 40 card version does everything the 60 card version does more consistently.

I’m actually a really big fan of thrust in the side, since it capable of being a board breaker or starter (mainly charge of the light brigade).

Aye man would you say this is the best lightsworn variant? I haven’t played in a while

I think it’s the most fun Lightsworn variant, but I’m not sure if it’s the best. I definitely lean more towards some kind of Fiendsmith variant of the deck being superior.

@@victorsadventures- Ive been testing the fiend smith stuff and its super nice. Your always garunteed something on your end board since the light sworn deck can be bricky. Plus you can play things like wave king Caesar and pilgrim reaper with it

A card I prefer to play over vampire zombie is bujintei kagutsuchi since wulf and felis are beast warriors, kitkallos at home that you can still make if the tear side of the deck happens to mill wulf first
