My father fought during WW2 in southern Philippines, became a POW while my mom and family sought refuge in the jungle. Both survived but my dad later on in life went through PTSD but glad he overcame it. This musical score always brings memories of my dad. Theirs is the greatest generation that ever lived and every year few of them remain with us.

I was in awe and moved with this masterpiece! I’m no musician at all, I just like music overall and my mind was so blown away and puzzled the first time I heard this and thinking how did they come up or compose with such a masterpiece like this? If I were the composer I’d be so proud especially if it’s dedicated to war heroes! THIS MUSIC’S SO GLORIOUS! YES! This music’s so GLORIOUS! All believers and followers of Jesus Christ are God’s soldiers/knights and we will all participate in the final war against satan and his minions once our King The Lord Jesus Christ returns! So we should always put the Armor of God all the time and be vigilant to fight evil. 🙏🏻

The men and women who fought and paid the ultimate price in WW2 are from a generation we will never see the likes of again. God broke the mold after that.

Those Marines were the Greatest from the Greatest Generation. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sergeant who served 1973-1977. Yes a great series.... I have the whole box set

@@usmc-veteran73-77 yes they where . The greatest ever . Not a day goes by that I don’t think of them and thank them . I wish I could of made by grandpa proud by serving but sadly was not allowed due to my disability .

@@matthewberg5835 I'm sure he was proud of you, no matter what. Being in the Marine Corps 1973-1977 was tough. I was on Okinawa when Saigon fell to the North Vietnamese. I was scared thinking we could have been sent to Saigon. We loss 2 Marines at Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base. The whole operation was "Crazy"

The Director did a Great job keeping the Musicians together. When playing a magnificent Masterpiece such as this,sometimes the Musicians can loose concentration & become emotional themselves. That’s when whole notes become half notes,thus the tempo is lost. But these are Professionals & the notes are etched in their soul.They have their eyes on the Director.

A Great Series. My dad was a WW2 Marine. Didn’t talk about it much but you could see the War in his eyes 😢

Yea.. they keep it so deep, they couldn't call it a honor by seeing and taking part in the living hell. And we would never able to sharing the burden of them. The service we shall thanks is that they kill the people for us so we don't have blood on our hands.

Make no mistake, this is one beautiful piece of music but the tempo is dragging. The orchestra sounds hollow and thin.

The "hollow and thin" could be coming from a non-treated room. The tempo does seem to drag a bit. Still a worthy attempt though.
