Hear! Hear! I can fully relate. I had without knowing it anxiety and mild depression my entire life; it was diagnosed in my 50's and have been on meds since. Mine seems to be 'intergenerational trauma' based. You may want to check that out if you can't point to anything in particular. I understand and wish you both well with your symptoms. ❤ Your speaking about 'hypervigilance' (worrying, concern about things not yet happening) struck a chord in me. For it, I practice a Recovery step of staying in the moment as in everything is all right in this week, day, hour or even minute to slow down my mind (not always easy but must be practiced). And, also practice gratitude by listing all that I am grateful for from life, health, spouse, family, friends, home, pet, to sunshine, flowers, clouds, smells, tastes, etc. The more, the better. My focus changes from fear to gratitude and a moment and the here and now, not some unknown! Just a thought for you two. Sorry this is so long! Uh! Excellent discussion! 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you for the topic and discussion; you two are so brave. I learn a lot from you both in your videos. 🎉Having undiagnosed anxiety and depression until my 50's was a struggle. The hypervigilance served me well until it didn't. The feeling on meds was amazing: so this is how most people feel! I believe it was not due to my sexuality but mostly to intergenerational trauma/genetics. Your descriptions were right on target and discussing them with a partner was excellent. Describing and showing how you do it is terrific. 🎉 Thank you again!

I've heard a term I really like about PDA's, avoiding negative comments and sharing some photos is 'preserving the sacred' in a relationship. That to me, is not about fear or shame, however, it is about holding, protecting and honoring a sacred relationship. That doesn't imply hiding but deciding what and where you share your feelings. 16:53
