So good catch on the tires. At the time I did this, tires were in high demand and extremely overpriced. I picked up some takeoffs. They had quite a bit more tread than you could notice in the video. I'm actually in the process of replacing them. No snow or ice and I took these out to the desert where we Off-road and they actually worked great at a low psi, they were just a cheap temporary fix.

Great job. You see motorhomes towing big boats and large race or toy hauler trailers in California all the time. I have been doing it for over 30 years and actually have been over legal length many times. To the river with a boat and PWCs in the summer and to Glamis with a sandrail and quads in the winter. No issues at all except for a blown trailer tire every so often. Have fun and be safe!

So I picked up the Rubican shocks and springs used for just a few hundred dollars. The front leveling kit is from Rough country and was about $100 and the rear spacers were about $150 so you could put everything together for less than $500 if you do the install yourself.

The blower system works well but it does draw some power and if the power goes down it does block airflow so you need to make sure your power system is up to the task when your running all your accessories! When running all my lights it can draw to much power. I have had to manage the power usage but it works well when I don't run everything all at once.

what do you think about the suspension on the rzr compared to the x3
@wernergarage70785 ай бұрын
Oh man great question. So to be fair my XPTS is fairly modified with long travel boxed arms and has Fox podium shocks. My X3 was an XRS with stock arms and better fox podiums with shock therapy springs AND was a 4 seater. The 2 seater to 4 seater comparison is huge and kind of skews by experience as I have only driven a 2 seater X3 a could times. They are both great cars and both suspensions are good, the RZR seems to need a bit more speed in the whoops to get it on step but I think that could be the wheelbase...

Do you think going with a 2inch spacer in the rear would have it to high I have a factory bumper to Oh its a sport s by the way
@wernergarage70788 ай бұрын
So mine is the sport "tow package" model. It does use a different rear spring from than the normal sports. It might be a bit taller and since I'm running a 1.38 spacer with that "possibly" taller spring a 2" could work. Keep in mind I also put the rubicon springs up from along with the leveling kit which the rubicon springs are definitely taller than the sport. If the max tow package spring is taller than yours and you do the rubicon front springs you are probably good.

@wernergarage70789 ай бұрын
So my car had nothing on the roof mine was very low profile, we had 3 X3's on that ride. That mistake was part of me being timid... I had an eye issue going on (ended up having surgery to correct) it was also that time of day... if I would have hit the transition like I normally do it would have been fine. But great lesson to stay on your game in the big dunes 😎 Thanks for watching and commenting!
