Europe stable food was largely flour and grains that extends back to before the bronze age and during the iron age , that was only possible because of the ending of the ice age and the warming of Europe that resulted in the decline and ending of Europe nomadic period of tent villages. Beef, bread and cheese was very common foods, the Germanic tribes had whole villages to the dedication to cattle breeding long before and after the viking age. Cheese, bread , beef , Mead and beer in the colder nations. Grapes grow better in the warmer parts of Europe. The northern part of Europe was more obsessed with apples and apple pies that was not originally made with white sugar. Meat pies and stews may go back to the bronze age. The apple has ancient European history behind it of being a symbol of good health, Apples of youth . Apples in the old Germanic faith keeps the gods young grown by the goddess of youth and beauty who is married to the god of bards, Europe used to use a more various collection of fabrics, A good portion of them could not be farmed and the reason lesser fabrics and cotton won in the end. Goddesses weaving tapestries, whirling wheels and looms. The norms weave the fates of men, woman healers with knowledge of herb and plants who are able to sow wounds and make medicines, midwives. Woman seem to have a love of herbs that are used for both cooking and healing. Leather and fur clothes where very seasonal. Fabric clothes made from plants where the most common. Dresses, pants, shirts, cloaks. Their have been claims that the secret of steel existed among the Germanic tribes but was lost before or during the viking age. A to well of guarded secret that was lost because of the smiths not passing on their knowledge of steel. Not having a son, dying in accidents, war, kings trying to kidnap them. like what happened to waylander that had his knee caps broken and forced to work at a forge, who get his revenge in the end and flies away on wings . He was to famous of a smith. The Ideal of manned flight using man made wings is very old. The king decedents may be related to waylander . Waylander having seduced and impregnated the kings daughter, who may of used fine words and jewelry to convince her or she may of had a thing for cripples or just hated her father . She may of had trouble finding a husband after producing a bastard.

As down the glen one Easter morn To a city fair rode I There armed lines of marching men In squadrons passed me by. No pipe did hum, No battle drum did sound its loud tattoo But the Angelus Bell o'er the Liffey's swell Rang out through the foggy dew. Right proudly high o'er Dublin town They hung out the flag of war 'Twas better to die 'neath an Irish sky Than at Suvla or Sud-El-Bar. And from the plains of Royal Meath Strong men came hurrying through While Brittania's Huns with their long range guns Sailed in through the foggy dew. Oh the night fell black, and the rifle's crack Made perfidious Albion reel 'Mid the leaden rain, seven tongues of flame Did shine o'er the lines of steel. By each shining blade a prayer was said That to Ireland her sons be true And when morning broke, still the war flag shook Out its folds in the foggy dew. 'Twas England bade our wild geese go That small nations might be free But their lonely graves are by Suvla's waves Or the shores of the great North Sea. Oh, had they died by Pearse's side Or had fought with Cathal Brugha Their names we'd keep where the Fenians sleep 'Neath the shroud of the foggy dew. But the bravest fell and the requiem bell Rang mournfully and clear For those who died that Eastertide in the Springtime of the year. While the world did gaze with deep amaze At those fearless men but few Who bore the fight that freedom's light Might shine through the foggy dew. Back through the glen, I rode again And my heart with grief was sore For I parted then with valiant men Whom I never shall see no more. But to and fro in my dreams I go And I kneel and pray for you For slavery fled, O glorious dead When you fell in the foggy dew. For slavery fled, O glorious dead When you fell in the foggy dew.

If you analyse historical events and ideologies by today's standards you're an idiot. They were socialists but only for the irish. They wanted a celtic and irish revival free of foreign influence (especially the british one). You want to label everything as left and right and according to your views, that's your problem. But don't consider yourself smart if you do so. "The chief enemy of a Celtic revival today is the crushing force of capitalism which irresistibly destroys all national or racial characteristics" - James Connolly Good luck labling this using left and right

Freya is not a uncommon girls name, God names and additive to the names like Thorstein are very common among the Germanic tribes and Israelite present in the Germanic tribe was or close to none-existence. The Germanic tribes did have access to china and a presence in Russia having taking over and put effort in decorrupted Russia that helped them drive back the mongrel hordes. Trade with China was difficult but profitable. Both had fabric and trade goods that the other lacked. Trading is about finding out what the other country and your county lacks to maximize profit to make it worth such a long dangerous voyage. Gold, silver, copper, iron, fabrics, spices are very common choices and the spices and fabrics would of been something sold to the upper class at very high prices. Buy low, sell high. both countries are being cheated and without such high profit the voyages to china cease. Both lose out on new fabrics and spices. Bad weather can kill you on long voyages as can being forced to land on the wrong shore that may result in you having to fight to the death. Like what happened to Ragnar, who was tossed into a pit of poisonous snakes, who recited his death poetry when dying whoa fate somehow made it back to his sons who invaded Britain for the murder of their father. The whole invasion could of been avoided by selling back Ragnar instead of murdering him or at least giving him a glorious death in battle. Vengeance alone would of not been the best way to gain warriors, land and gold on the other hand. Gold , family and lands are three of the most important thing among the Germanic tribes. Gold and fertile land made life easy and provided the resources to raise large families and the wealth to pay someone else to work the land for you. being rich enough to be lazy was considered a good thing.

King Dan(us) I of Denmark, born in Thrace (Bulgaria), living in the 11/10th century B.C., was remembered as Wodan /Wetan/Oden/Odin. It is an interesting theory I read once. But an Israëli origin is new for me. Maybe the (lost) Dan-tribe?
