I watched it and was unaware of the plot. My anxiety got triggered and i just wanted to stop many times. but i pushed through to see the climax. Reminds me a lot of Hereditary ..

I've never watched a film that made me as suicidally depressed as Threads. It truly is a horror film, a *terror* film. But one that I think people should watch at least once, as once may be all that you can stomach. My dad said this gave him nightmares when he saw it in the eighties. I was just a little kid back then, and had no real idea of the looming threat until much later.

I am a huge fan of Refn, my favorite movie is drive. And i am also a big fan of the pusher trilogy, recommending it everwhere i can, and i can kinda see your gta comparison. I like it😉 the chaos, the multiple tasks at hand at the same time, the mood and setting. I get it. And yes of course, the twxs chainsaw massacre, was a part of the inspiration for this movie⛓️🪚 Also my ranking of this trilogy is 1-pusher2 (mads is perfect) 2-pusher 1 (its so intense) 3-pusher 3 (milo comes full circle, kinda)

Not an expert on KZbin engagement but I think that the blurred stills of movies on thumbnails doesn't work well. Hope can help.

Definitely agree about not being able to appreciate it till your older and more mature and emotionally intelligent. As a kid I kind of thought it was boring… This movie does not hold you by the hand. I love that Hannibal was likable! Apparently a lot of Psychopaths are charming.

You need to watch this one closely. Things did jump out at me. In the opening scene, his friends seem to find his plan to swim from pool to pool more crazy than they ought to. That stood out. Then there's the reaction of the other couple who he tells he wouldn't sell his house so his daughters can someday get married there. The man is so startled he nearly gets out of his chair. Why would that be so shocking? So pretty soon I was wondering what exactly was going on. What a movie!

Great choice !!! Midnight Cowboy, it is a masterpiece, a gem for film lovers. Raw, hard, sad, dramatic but I can never stop watching it, I am from Barcelona and in our country they usually show it every year on some TV channel. It always hooks me until the end. Masterful work by Hoffman and Voight. How an attractive small town boy he wants to take on the world in New York and N.Y. eats him. Faithful portrait of the moment.Great músic with Harry Nilsson's hit Everyboodys talking. And all the músic is great , the apmosphere . Never know why this film was clasified as a X movie in the U.S. at the end that was life. Greetings from Barcelona Excuse my english 😅

For me, the chicken scene with the Marbles' spy was the most shocking to me. Singing a$$holes, the scene you mentioned after the licking did not get to me nearly as much haha. And yes, the final scene was a lot! Had to stop Multiple Maniacs right in the beginning. THE CHICKENS!!!

I wasn't planning on seeing a movie in theatres this weekend, but now I might have to. The editing sounds intriguing. It's funny, I've seen 4 of Luca Guadagnino's features, but the only one I really remember is Call Me by Your Name. I even saw his remake of Suspiria last year and don't remember a thing about it. (Except that I liked the original better.) But Challengers sounds interesting. Thanks for the recommendation.

Let me know what you think of it! The final scene where I discussed the editing has been getting a lot of funny memes! I guess people really do enjoy it.

Good stuff! Couldn't quite tell what genre we were shooting for with it, but if we were going for absurdist comedy then we absolutely got there! The wife on speaker phone and the "jokes on you, you're fired" followed by the severance pay jab sent me on both counts

Thank you for the kind words! I guess you could say I wanted to go for a “dry comedy”, sort of like The Office or Office Space! Dr Strangelove also served as inspiration as well!
