This series will show you how to EPP and save A LOt of TIME. You can start with a rotary cutter, then glue the fabric instead of basting it. This series is the absolute best. You can also sew them with a machine with a really narrow zig zag stitch and clear thread. But that’s another video. Start with the Tula Pink EPP 3 video series. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eau3c5Wufdidb7s

Please be advised, the cotton thread you showed, IS NOT the cotton hand quilting thread, it is the 100% machine quilting thread. Each Guttermann’s thread spool color, is its very own category. The sew all spool is white, the rayons are in gray, the 100% cotton machine quilting is spool is yellow, the silks spools are light blue, the bobbin thread spool is green and the 100 % cotton, hand quilting spool is beige.
@NaomiClarke Жыл бұрын
The packaging on the box for that thread says hand quilting thread
@Everyoneisanartist776 Жыл бұрын
@@NaomiClarke what it states is that you can use it also for hand quilting - amongst many other sewing applications! This thread can be used on the sewing machines, where as the actual hand quilting spools, can not. This is something machine quilters are very guarded against because, the hand quilting threads will gum up our machine and put them out of commission and into the shop for expensive repairs.

Thanks for this tutorial! I'm wondering if you might be willing to provide the seam allowance you use when sewing the zipper sandwich? My zip foot on my Juki is substantially narrower and I want to duplicate what you've done. Thanks again!

I especially like the way you created the zipper tabs. The longer length keeps it so much less bulky in the side seams. Great design choice! I made my first pouch using another video and including the zipper end, and tabs into the seam was a nightmare! Thanks for sharing your expertise. New subscriber!

I get all that, but how do you get a little paper pieces, they’re smaller than the ruler so you can’t use the plastic ruler to cut the paper out. Please explain how you get the paper to be smaller than the ruler
@NaomiClarke2 жыл бұрын
I buy the paper pieces ready cut as the angles are so precise it is easier for me to do so than hand cutting all the paper pieces

Thank you so much for this video! Pattern matching is my favorite ❤️ If I use flat back stitching on one portion of the block, does it make a difference if I use whip stitch on the rest? I know they have different rates of shrinkage, just not sure if it's big enough of a difference to make the block lopsided? I've only used whip stitch before.
@NaomiClarke3 жыл бұрын
In all honesty, I flat-back stitch my pattern matching and then whip stitch the rest of it together. I've found that works ok but I'd love to know what you think and how it works for you x
@KearaChristine3 жыл бұрын
@@NaomiClarke I found that it made my block curl into a bowl shape, but I doubt it will make much difference once the blocks are sewn together and the papers are removed. Definitely prefer the whip stitch overall, but the flat back worked really well for pattern matching. ❤️
