Sweet Ghostbusters shirt! Do they give you a hard time at the border? What did you tell them, "I went to McDonalds for fries."
@WildJay
@WildJay 14 күн бұрын
Thank you! Ghostbusters is my favorite movie of all time. As far as the border goes, I usually just tell them I'm going shopping. But coming back to the US if they ask if I'm bringing anything back, I'm always honest. For example I might say yeah I bought a bunch of Canadian Doritos lol. They usually get a kick out of that and sometimes they're even curious about what flavors.

It's probably the first piece of jerky I've had in many years. But I couldn't resist trying this for a video. And it certainly bothers my stomach too. And as far as the lighting, it's always tough at dusk with the sunset. I wasn't really thinking about it until I pressed record and I decided just to go with it. So I'm glad it still looked decent.

I haven't had Kraft PB in a LONG time, but grew up on it because I don't think there was really ever anything else. But I HATED peanut butter. Until I had peanut butter cookies. Yum. I think most everyone here hates kraft, I know at one point my parents stopped buying kraft too, Never had planters, but there's the in house stuff at nearly all supermarkets. I'm sure that's what most people here get now. Think Bakery section vs wonderbread. There's so many types and variations with those, that they all taste completely different I don't even know what peanut butter is "supposed" to taste like lol. I think people just find one they like and stick with it. Came across your video because I was thinking about reeses peanut butter cups and home made copycat recipes. Not sure if I want to try them because the recipes I find seem to be US based. and I DEFINITELY remember hearing a lot from people that US peanut butter is different from Canadian and decided to google. Even skippy before they pulled out from canada apparently tasted different too. I don't recall if i ever had that on this side. Taking a trip across the border next month. Maybe I should pick up some Jif or Peter pan to try. edit: After more googling, it seems there's no standard of identity here for peanut butter here in Canada unlike how there is in the states. There needs to be a minimum amount of fruit in juice, but not peanuts in peanut butter. And apparently within the past 10 years kraft has gotten even worse putting less peanuts and more filler. ugh.
@WildJay
@WildJay 2 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for watching the video and for your comments. That's very interesting about the lack of certain standards for Canadian peanut butter versus US peanut butter. Usually it's the other way around. I know there are certain food dyes that aren't allowed to be used in Canadian products that are still used in the US, same with energy drink ingredients. Reese's peanut butter I remember being very good, but I haven't had it in a while because it was always so much more expensive. It's still not exactly the same as the peanut butter they use in their Reese's cups but it's good. But the next time you cross the border definitely pick up a jar of Peter Pan or Jif and give it a try. Thanks again for your comment!
