I went into education and after four years, I left. I went into education because I found the public school system to be a trainwreck. Universities do nothing to prepare teachers for actual classroom realities. Four years of college and you are thrown into another persons classroom for a taste of student teaching in your last semester. Too many university classrooms provide educators with "busy work" classes that add dollars to the universities but do nothing to help a teacher with the realities of teaching. Classroom teachers who are supposed to be the student teachers mentor need to know how to teach college students about the reality of all the extras that teachers must do in addition to teaching. Now teachers are giving children laptops even in the lower grades and are told by administration they must use electroncs. Teachers deal with students who understand electronics better than they do. They deal with students who are addicted to electronics. Co-teaching is not needed. Nothing new was mentioned here. All I heard here was the same crap that I heard when I left the profession back in 2009.

We had team of teachers when I was in middle school in the 1960s because we had huge classes with four full classrooms where the moveable room dividers all classrooms full of students. I did not do that well in those giant classes. Some people have enough trouble dealing with 25-30 students and one teacher. I was one of those students.
