I’ve seen A LOT of awful horror movies so this isn’t even close to the worst I’ve ever seen which I believe, The Bunnyman Massacre still holds the throne as worst ! I had to watch 3 only because I absolutely LOVE Creepshow 1 and 2. I’ve seen them 10+ times for sure. That being said, Creepshow 3 may not be the worst horror flick I’ve seen, but it definitely sucked and was so amateur that I was a bit embarrassed that it carried the Creepshow name. Nobody involved in the writing or directing was involved in this abomination was from the original two and it showed. A 3 mil budget ? Lmao the creators must’ve secretly pocketed at least 2.5 mil of that budget. Btw your review was absolutely hilarious 🫡

Personally, I enjoyed the show. I own all the seasons on DVD. And I have read the book, but I liked the premise of the show better. Never saw the movie.

I watched the langoliers a long time ago and eitherforgot that it was about time travel or didn't know it was about time travel. So either I learned some thing or was reminded of something.

While I can't agree with everything that you said, I enjoyed your video and I definitely enjoyed the book! Without trying to go into King like detail my first reading of this book was a bit rough. I first read this around the age of thirteen and came to a point around midway through the book that I became agitated and threw the book into a corner and left it for more than six months. When I came back to the book I reread the first half and had no issues following through and reading it in its' entirety. My opinions of events have evolved over the years but it still seems slightly like a star crossed romance story like Romeo and Juliet. I mean... kind of... Okay maybe not... but maybe... And the end... was it a hit or a miss? I'm not sure. It depends on how I feel each time I read it. What I can say is that it captivated me and had me turning pages late into the night until it was finished. Even then my brain would continue to process the story and maybe even dream of it. So many of the characters was likeable and relatable even with their faults. I highly recommend this book for those even thinking about reading it. Don't overthink other peoples' opinions. Read it and find your own. There are slow periods and long build ups but it is worth the wait for the full King story and experience. Even if it can be a rough, dark, rainy ride, with sparse rays of beautiful sunshine.... I just watched the mini series for the first time right before finding this vid. You have probably already found out for yourself by now but the show is very different and could have been made much better! Not horrible but not that good either.

If they were gonna make radical changes to the story I wish they would have done something more interesting. Like, why not in this series portray the Flagg burning of America that is seen in visions in the book? Maybe the characters make their stand... and die, and Flagg attacks Boulder. I think a great twist in the original climax would have been if General Starkey was alive and Flagg had him as a prisoner. He'd then publicly execute him and this would portray himself as a vengeful hero and win more people to his side. That's fan fiction though. Still, the last time I read the book I kept thinking that King could have continued the story with Flagg rising farther in power, scattering the survivors at the Boulder Free zone, and then being taken down by his own people.

I really think Sheridan nailed the portrayal of Flagg in the original. He perfectly captures the "mad glee" that he has. When I see Sheridan's Flagg I see a cool uncle that your mother doesn't like. An uncle who comes around and gives you adult magazines and beer and takes you out to set off M80's and maim the nice lady next door on accident, and then leaves you with the guilt.

I’ve read about half the stories in the collection, but not all. Some I simply DNF’d. Of the ones I read: 1. Strawberry Spring (My favorite King short story. Predictable and cliche by today’s standards, but still a really fun mood-piece.) 2. One For The Road 3. Gray Matter 4. Jerusalem’s Lot 5. Children of the Corn 6. I Am The Doorway 7. The Boogeyman (from what I remember, I thought the ending was really stupid) 8. The Man Who Loved Flowers (predictable, but just sorta okay?) 9. Sometimes They Come Back (terrible movie, and I only read like half the story, it was sooo boring) 10. Graveyard Shift (hated it)

I think the people that were awake evaporated from time because the plane went into the past and when you are awake you are more conscious of time. When you are asleep you dont have any sense of time. So the people wake didn't belong in the past. I would like to know though, what happened when the authorities found the body of the girl. How would the passengers and captain explain that?

Thank you so much. That was lovely. Liked and subscribed! I read a lot of many different types of books, but Stephen King is absolutely my fav, in his genre. Overall, I’m more interested in Sci-fi, but the actual context behind this novel always added to my appreciation of it. I feel bad that he can’t fully enjoy it, but if I had some serious drug addictions to immediately address, I wouldn’t mind finishing all of that off on a book like this one. 🏆 I’m old. I’ve been reading him for a long time. I feel like I can guess what he was up to ‘back in the day’. Luckily, he woke up with a stuffy nose one morning and then wrote my favorite, THE STAND. 😉😘

Finally! A safe space where I can talk about how much I truly love this book. Gard is one of my all time favorite characters. I also love seeing characters that truly struggle in life outside their supernatural experiences. I love everything King writes, but his early stuff had a more informed position about poverty and class structures. I also love that the book has not one, but two writers as the main characters. Outside of Misery and of course On Writing, I can't think of any other King book so inextricably tied to the process and art of writing as Gard and Bobbi have each other to talk to, whereas the other author stand ins have an otherness about them that keeps you at arms length. There is a real intimacy and self reflective awareness here that I think he rarely achieves in his other books, great as I generally think they are.

80s music sucks? Really? Hair metal bands, the beginning of boybands, OR are you talking movie soundtracks? (Cough, cough John Williams). Or does Vampy love Trampy Swift? But yeah, this movie sucked....So does any new "story" King comes out with. Every story is more like a political opinion essay. (Won't be back as King just makes me yawn anymore. Still have his earlier works...TA-Ta!!!)

So Renfro was only aged 16-17 and relatively green when he performed in Apt Pupil? That's unreal, his work feels like an accomplished performance of an experienced young man, not a boy. And he held his own easily opposite Sir Ian McKellen, by then a top veteran of stage & screen for 40 years. Still, one wonders whether Renfro was scarred by not only his trauma but also the part he took on, it's a disturbing role even outside of being directed by an abuser.

6:54 perhaps Joel Schumacher is also culpable here--he not only cast Renfro in his inchoate film role, but also Corey Haim, another tragic case who followed a similar path.

King may not have liked this film but not his least favorite. He saw Lawnmower Man and pulled his name from the whole project King hated Stanley Kubrik’s version of The Shining so much he made his own TV series. I prefer the series, it’s more to the book and didn’t change 70% of it like Kubrik did

Well, I do appreciate your stance and style of show. This is exactly the type of show. I love. I just re-watched the show this weekend. I do enjoy a episodic shows that are one off and let me get in and out. Enjoy the show without having to fully commit, I love the supernatural genre. That’s not too scary. I miss this era and it was a great throwback of stars and memories. I really thought the acting was top-notch and the special effects actually still hold up.
