I'm looking at doing the same thing, is the gear ratio the same between the hbw 100 the the zf12? Did you lift the engine 10mm because of lack of space in the engine bay or is there a 10mm difference between the input and output spindles on the new gearbox? Any help is. Much appreciated

I have the same job ahead... amazing that you've shown me the way. What's satisfying (and I haven't even started yet) is that your work environment is just like mine. Not a clean workbench, but a cramped fairly dirty engine bay. Now to find a new ZF12m.

Was told by a Perkins certified mechanic to not tighten the screws all the way, run the engine a min. And snug them down so the timing shaft and pump are nicely aligned. I had never done this before, but I do now. 😎
