I met him three times now. This was the first time. the last time I met him. I told him how he was my inspiration. to my three years at the time sobriety. He told me he was proud of me and that I should be proud of myself, he told me to keep up the good fight and never give up he told me that I mattered to him and that he cared about me. He then told me he loved me and gave me a big hug. Then he said a prayer 🙏 for me. every time I want to use again. I just think about what he said. now it’s been five years sober. Thanks to Justin‘s inspiration. I am going to see them again in two weeks at the rave in Milwaukee. hopefully you can catch them on tour before the end of the year. Much love blue 💙 family. I love ❤️ you all very dearly. hold on tight, don’t ever let go. Don’t ever give up. you are loved, I love ❤️ you. you are amazing, you are unique. there is nobody like you. don’t you ever change for anybody. if anybody is dragging you down, cut ties with them. it’s a short life. live it every day like it’s your last. tell everybody that you love ❤️. that you love 💕 them every chance you get. tell them that you love them and how much they matter to you. treat everybody with kindness and respect ✊. treat them how you would like to be treated. Was there for this and had either watched or attended most of his previous open book tours. All I could think the whole show was damn… this guy… our guy…is hurting something fierce. It was truly heartbreaking. He is a real guy. With real emotions. 😢

@@trix1227 that's great. I met them almost 20 years ago. I was having a shit night. So I sat outside and listened to the show. During a break in their set, they came out back and sat and chilled, didn't act like I shouldn't be there, I wasn't supposed to be) and just where good folks.

Justin, If you ever see this, I would like to say that I saw you play tonight at Doc's Landing in White Bear Lake, MN. I didn't come to town to see a concert, but my local friends I am staying with tonight said there was a band playing at a nearby bar and brought me out. They say you are opening for The Goo Goo Dolls on Sunday which is a compliment to that band as well! I have to say, hearing you play "Hate Me" in the acoustic version was absolutely astonishing. You sang your heart and soul out and gave us all goosebumps. If I can speak for the rest of the crowd, we all felt your emotions through the songs you sang which is the true meaning behind music. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with all of us. As to your daughter, if you share half the passion as a father as you do as an artist, yous daughter is absolutely blessed to have such a spectacular father. We all make mistakes in life, but stay strong on the right path for your little princess and lead her to the wonderful life of interpersonal success that your parents have obviously instilled in you. At the end of this song I had a complete mental breakdown with somebody because there was these two guys head banging throughout the whole show must’ve been high on some methamphetamines or something and they would not stop being so ridiculous and everybody around us was mad too but no one really had the guts to stand up to them though so I did I seriously have not been that pissed in a long time he kept bumping into my daughter and sister too he was this close to getting knocked out 😂

Thanks for sharing this and for including the set list. I see some songs I've never heard live before on here. I hope the setlist is similar in September when I see them next. (I'll be seeing Blue October with Goo Goo Dolls, because Open Book shows like this one almost never come to Northern California. I've only seen a stripped down acoustic show like this once, in Sacramento. I love these kinds of shows, though so again...thand for posting this on KZbin. 💙

I’ve never seen Justin get so mad while on stage that lady clapping during the whole song really pissed him off it was actually quite funny although I did feel bad for him at around two minutes three minutes in this video you can literally see him say under his breath he wants to kill her 😂
