Thats so sad .. Im sure one minute they were recalling the fun night they had while on there way home and then the next minute this happened. One definitely didnt have a seat belt on since there was 6 of them in a 5 seated vehicle 😢

There are two types of Microburst wet and dry. The one most common is wet. But ask Denver Airport about their experiences with those sneaky dry ones. Microbursts are small - less than 4 km across - and short-lived, lasting only five to 10 minutes, with maximum windspeeds sometimes exceeding 100 mph. There are two kinds of microbursts: wet and dry.

The microburst designation was used by the police the explain the event. It was not the words used by the balloon operator, just like you, he called it a incredibly strong thermal gust of wind, which he estimated to be about 40 - 50 mph.

False, microburst is associated with precipitation. This was a thermal. Thermals with obvious dust or debris swirling are commonly called dust devils.

Scary part was that I lived in 888 S Anaheim Blvd which is really close to the restaurant and I woke up to strange sounds and fire truck sirens and ambulances 2nd scariest thing ever

Uh total waste of equipment? Stupidity? I think not. Clearly the building was MASSIVE and made of wood too you try fighting a fire of that size and enormity its like trying to piss out a volcano they were clearly using their resources the best they could bringing in helicopters to fight the fire ontop was a smart move. Their ariels couldn't even reach the ROOF! and it was clear they were doing a water shuttle operation with water tankers most likely volunteer companies so if anything its not a total waste of equipment or stupidity! @@Twrent72He didn’t have a tarp over him. You can clearly see his face, arms and legs. I did read reports that he did die at the scene though. 🙏🏽😢
