About I love LA, this extraordinary song from 1983 captures EXACTLY the feel, the sense, the very soul of what Los Angeles was like then, and has always retained since, to some extent. I watch this video, now retired and living in New Mexico, but my heart and soul know exactly what Randy Newman was gifting us with this unofficial anthem: once an Angelino, always and Angelino! Go Dodgers and Angels, Go Rams, Go Lakers and Clippers, and God Bless you Mambacita and Kobe!!! I worked 45 years at the studios; the shot of the Laverne and Shirley stage is so in my DNA as I worked with that show's main director, Joel Zwick, for over 35 years off and on. I also had a wonderful very romantic long term affair (15 years) that started beneath the lifeguard tower on THAT beach just off the California Incline, drove to work much of my career on Santa Monica Boulevard, and often felt like that bum on his knees - because the the women, NOTHING LIKE 'EM NO WHERE! I worked for years just off Sixth Street, cannot tell you how many hot tubs I shared from 1983 until 2020, drove with my best friend down Imperial Highway for most of the eighties and nineties, and all I can say when I look back at all of it is.... I love LA! We LOVE IT!!! (By the way, Short People is a Wonderful satire of bigoted people, NOT denigrating short people in any way!!)

By the way, what's with all the background BS radio noise while you are supposedly really listening to this great song for the first time? PLUS with you not looking at the screen half the time, you missed many many of the visual jokes!!!!! Did you ever see the "bum on his knees" joke? No, you were not even looking!! Never gonna watch your first reactions again, cuz they are wak!

Back in the early days of home gaming, Atari was the one to have. PacMan, Destroyer, and so many other games. But Atari's controller was a "joystick," a stick big enough for you to hold and move left/right/up/down, and a red button to whatever else, like shooting at something. Very simple design, very easy to use. But of course, the Dazz Band means...another "joystick." Did you hear all the gaming references? "Winning" "Scoring" both by game and by getting diggity.

There is no-one or group in main stream music that hits like PE, KRS1… they had a Message when we needed to hear it. We need this now as well. 👊🏾

This is my absolute favorite PE song. So focking rebellious... No rapper or group can approach its aggressive consciousness....flagrantly calling out the currency of issues under no auspiciousness

I may be way off base with this, but it seems like he may be appreciated by more people now. While there were many screaming teenagers back then, adults, parents, etc., were not very happy about him. Now with YT, a wide range of people of all ages can get to appreciate him. It was quite limited yrs. ago with just the occasional TV appearance & those who got to see him live. Thanks for your reaction.

Yes, today's generation really has no clue how music had so much meaning. Music today can never come close to how it was back then. I bet everyone from back then can hear a song and pair it with a memory, that's just how it was. Music was really a part of our lives 💯💯💯💯💯
