Lets Chat! Do you track your monthly spending? if so, have you had a month where you didn’t make any “unnecessary” purchases?

I'll get the conversation started...like I mentioned in the video, I try to keep track of my spending but have *NEVER* had a month where I didn't buy at least 1 "unnecessary" item. I wish I could but there always seems to be something that happens that breaks my no spend month. Maybe sometime in 2025?!?!?! 🤔

🌸 love your vellum cover! I’ve tried printing on vellum and it never works! Do you have any hints or tips? Great video btw

I use the draft print setting and let it sit for about 5 mins after it is printed before I touch it. I also usually place a piece of paper on top of it after the 5 mins is over and put a book on top of the paper. This removes any excess wet ink and reduces the possibility of smears. Hopefully this will help the next time you print on vellum. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I want to get started with Notion I just have on 💡 idea where to start. I'm a prolific reader and I'm not sure my 5 year spreadsheet will work in the long run. I have 100's of books and it's only the first year

I used notion this year to track my bookshelf books and what I rated the books I read. I am also a big reader and read about 100 books a year so I need something to keep track of all my books. I may be shifting my book tracking to Google sheets this year though.

Wow. That’s amazing! I personally like the monthly and weekly layouts in the hobonichi but I think if you make a daily page, maybe set them up with like a daily prompt or something instead of a blank page like in the hobonichi. That is my only complaint with that planner. Thanks for watching and good luck!

@heidisplanning thanks! I was just thinking something like that too. The common planner being blank has no structure and I get decision fatigue. With the cousin at least there's a tiny structure. I think I need more structure but still the freedom to customize. So so picky haha

Tip for next time. Placing tabs from the back of the planner to the front makes for more even placement. Using tweezers to place the Midori ones can help too so you can see where you are placing. They are very nice low profile. I will say other tabs work great too if they aren’t sticker paper - they hold up better. Are you not tabbing the monthly? I always need monthly tabs bc those are hard to find in the planner like this since they are all in one spot at the front.

Random tip to get the clear covers on: hold the pages only, and open both covers back at the same time and stuff both sides in at the same time, and you won't have to do any bending to get it on. =)

It is a mood ring! I bought it from Ana Luisa about a month ago and I wear it daily. I used to love wearing mood rings as a kid and I had to get it when I saw it on the website. Now I can wear one without worrying about my finger turning green like it used to when I wore the cheap ones from Claire’s! Thanks for watching and comm! 😁

Beautiful! I bought the Halloween pumpkin house Halloween washi and it is gorgeous! I loved seeing how you used the stickers without going overboard. I had such a hard time not using ALL the beautiful stickers! I’m now trying to figure out how to use cute stickers in one area and these more sophisticated stickers in a different way. Maybe fun for a monthly spread to get me motivated to plan and then calm and lovely for weekly to be peaceful? Oy! Or perhaps different themes for work vs home?

This year, I used only Hobo Cousin so far - except for the summer, when I was less busy and played with bujo. I have full year Cousin for 2024 and bought an Avec for 2025 :)

Nice! I used to use a bujo but since getting my cousin, I haven’t wanted to go back. I tend to use a planner less if I visually don’t like how the spread looks and I realized when I had to create all my spreads in a bujo I never really liked how they looked. Did you decide to get an Avec instead of the cousin because of the bulk?

I love the Washi Tape shop! I have so many rolls from them. They are huge rolls and so many stickers on them. My favorites so far are the coffee shop ones, the chonky cats, and the Christmas ones.

I agree with you about shipping planners in a box, but let me tell you sth funny happened to me last week, I preordered a JibunTecho for the first time and I was excited to get the DHL notification to find out that they mistakingly DIDN'T add the planner to the shipment and only shipped the index tabs, it's not coming on a separate shipment, it was supposed to be in that shipment with the index tabs, I wish it was the other way around, but which planner company forgets to add their planners to their shipments?? I hope they send me my planner that I was excited about :(
