I had a 30 min lesson with Harry and he eliminated many of my bad habits in that one lesson. My game and enjoyment of the game improved immediately and my HI dropped from 13+ to 8.2 in the following 4 months. He keeps it simple and uses video to emphasise issues that you are struggling to address.

Awesome stuff! While sure, I focus on good fundamentals (and yes, balance is one i work on! ha!) all I really try to do is keep it simple and try to hit the ball solidly -- and that has increased my enjoyment of my practice immensely - thx Dan! And great swing on your son too!

Glad you've posted this. I've wondered what I should be thinking about over the ball - position, path, grip, and recently I've just concentrated on good contact.

why dont we skip to the end and have a bag of 9 "wedges"... ;0) distance is personally my last need, Id like some forgiveness on miss hits, tight N/S dispersion, spin for AZ greens, and softer feel are my top 4, how do these stand up to those 4? What would be spin range for a 150 yard shot, 5500-6500?

And I'll add, how about a set with small gaps in scoring clubs ... All these iron sets have like 5-6 degrees between PW and 9 while the 6i to 5i is like 3 degrees
@paulmcgee1867Ай бұрын
Ping haven’t managed the set from PW as well as others if you ask me. Their PW is a nine and the 45.5 is the PW with 50° as the gap w

Same up here in Scotland. We had the course closed for a couple of days 👎🏻 don’t even fancy the range in this weather . Stay home and watch the Masters. My pro has an indoor simulator- need to go there !

It's amazing how many people at my club complain about the course and when it shuts, we're lucky because it's been open more than any other golf course in the area. Get James Robinson on he can talk a good game👍

Love watching these videos Dan. Great to see what you have done over the years. I’m amazed at how bad the winter has been in the U.K. this year. I assume astroturfing the outfield would be just a too huge a financial outlay to make sense ? Keep up the great work and keep posting.

As mentioned that was a good 15 inches (not 6 inches) "outside the hole" 4:40 You have to do this using a Perfect Putter with a laser or use a string line to line up the Perfect Putter. A subjective human is not a valid test, as has been proven in this video.

I struggled a lot last year with what I guess you would call the "yips" with my irons. I'd get to the top of the backswing and be frozen with anxiety. I couldn't make a decent swing even though I was striking my irons wonderfully in practice. It got a bit better as the year went on but is still with me to this day. I've come to the conclusion that you have to play golf for the pleasure of being outdoors and making nice golf shots when you can. If each round is a test of your skills and affects your sense of self worth then the game is no fun at all. My goal for next year is to enjoy every swing and every day on the course and let the score take care of itself. I will never play my best if I worry about the outcome of every shot.

I have a playing partner who is not a good golfer. Even when he hits a really good shot he criticizes it. He might hit a good approach shot onto a green ten or fifteen feet left of the pin and then he complains that he "pulled it." He probably only hits two or three green in regulation in a round and he is disappointed with a shot miles better than he has any right to expect. I often comment on this to him but it doesn't seem to sink in.

An important factor affecting lie angle is the position of the shaft when it is gripped. A person who grips the shaft with the butt on the pad of the hand (incorrect grip) will require an upright adjustment. While if the same person grips the shaft at the base of the fingers (correct position) he may not need any adjustment to the standard lie angle. I've seen this many times where a golfer is fitted with an upright adjustment to their irons due to incorrect grip. When I instruct them change to a proper grip the lie angle has to be changed.

So you knew what he meant, and you agree with it, but you post a video on KZbin with a clickbait title to get your views. Does Tiger have anything to gain from telling people not to watch KZbin coaches? No. Do you have anything to gain from encouraging people to click on your little channel? Absolutely. ✌️
