omg saw myself as a junior orangeman behind portadown true blues. i think that was the year also i presented the bible to harold gracy under the river bann bridge. had to walk in front of the band in portadown with the bible round my neck... those were the days.. god bless!!

The parades are completely sectarian, this is not something that I should have to explain, and if you are asking me to do so then i'm afraid you just don't get it. With regards to religion, christian, muslim, whatever, I am completely against as I am Antitheist. So, in my logical eyes, all religion is delusional. When one person suffers a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer a delusion it is called religion - Robert Pirsig. The Queen is the Queen of England. Not the UK.

Do you know what sectarian means? If something is sectarian by dictionary definition it means it is affiliated or associated with a religious sect. In that sense, these parades are associated with Protestantism so yes. In the sense your trying to frame it. No they arent

Your main problem being you are assuming the definition of sectarian is directly connected to sectarianism, it isnt. Sectarianism can be defined as the promotion of hatred, prejudice or bigotry against a religious sect. Sectarian means something is affiliated with a religious sect. The definitions aren't connected like most just assume

One day, there will be no parades based on one house sides, that will encourage sectarianism, or that will generate hate and anger from either side of the house. When this day comes, Northern Ireland will be at peace. There will be no Catholic schools, no Protestant schools, no Catholic area's of towns and no Protestant area's of towns. It costs 1 billion a year to keep this small country divided. Imagine what we could do with that money? I look forward to the day when sectarianism is dead.
