What if I put camera on tripod. Ask an asisstant to hold the translusent reflector or umbrella. Make a shot exposing for model. Then just take away asisstant and model and take another shot with - 1 exsposure and then just combine in photoshop? In case if I don't have flash and big softbox or two windy. This way the model will be 1 stop brighter than background. Or reflector with a speedlight in hands. In that case just one shot.

What you are describing is HDR using 2 shots. It's okay for real estate photography or landscape where you want 'even' light across the image, but in a portrait you want some drama (unless you don't) and the flash provides that contrast between the left and right side of the subject.

Heartfelt thanks for sharing the UPAA 2024 conference on line. I have watched all of the presentations and have been incredibly impressed with the quality of the presentations and the generosity of the presenters. Your organization is certainly held in high esteem to attract these legendary photographers to your conference. Wishing you continued success.

amazing ! so many good stuff to grab from this huge photographer, such as the concept of bucket in the door for flash / exposure ! i also love the way he whispers when talking to his model, which is a way to put the person at ease or at least less vunerable, in front of a camera and an audience...

Hi, thanks for sharing, I have a problem in my Essential Graphics, specifically in the Preview windows, they are all black, it doesn't show the preview, do you know how to solve this? I already uninstalled and installed Premiere (latest version)

I know this came out close to 2 years ago, but it has and will continue to increase my value in my department. It's not just one more thing to, it's teaching me a new language that I can use to speak to those in administration. Thank you so much!

I have a question about the shot at the 35:07 mark! Where is your shooting position and what lens are you using? It looks like you are shooting from center field maybe?
@1946bike2 жыл бұрын
good video...get well soon! my current choice of lenses is 300 pf and 500 pf by nikon ..lighter weight options. i enjoy shooting from dugout and behind batter box..ans sometimes position myself when shooting pitcher to get scoreboard in background.
