Kevin Burke is American of irish heritage. I was so blessed to hear him play along side Jackie et al, along time ago now . Yet i still remember the magic of the music i was honored to hear !!!!!❤

What is the name of the air Jerry played at the beginning of that medley?
@ChiefVPK4 ай бұрын
I believe its "Hector the Hero"

I believe it was the late, great Alastair Gillies who used to play Cabar Feidh in every form: march, jig, strathspey, reel, hornpipe, piobaireachd - quite a show! Yes, Mairi is still great all these years later.

Can we get Helping Hands on Spotify? This is too great to allow it to fade into obscurity.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry at the Fiddletunes Festival in Port Townsend, Washington some years ago...

I was there also. What a privilege to sit and listen to him for hours. I don't think he ever repeated the same tune twice. A real Master!

Really pure rendition of Neil Gow's Lament - without the superfluous trills that many players inject- just the few triplets and grace notes. Anybody know the names of the other tunes in the set?
