Well I mean firstly this is a reference that Amelia [is American] and also carries a gun in lore, but secondly that Ame's rage-quit ping-blaming sore-loser gamer attitude is what makes her better person to tell you to cheat to win than Botan's calm and laughing nature. So I think Ame is better. Also being able to use Mumei and Kronii as side characters also made me laugh out loud in comparison to like using Aqua or Towa.

There are rules, they are rules you would want even the people you disagree with to follow that you keep if they are rational enough to as well. That’s the basis of the Geneva convention. Like imagine if everyone all the time just fake surrendered and then it was an ambush and everyone died- then we could never trust anyone’s surrender to be genuine and every battle would have no quarter, obviously both sides don’t want that if they are nation states or rational. It’s why we have war crimes, if it must come to war that doesn’t actually mean all the gloves come off cause that will hurt our men as much or more as it hurts theirs. It just means we are wearing our war gloves. How we treat our enemies is a reflection of who we are, and war is just politics by other means. That doesn’t mean failing to do what is necessary to win, it means understanding the lines being drawn and the nature of your enemy and the nature of the possible. The war in the pacific vs the war in Europe in WW2 shows the US very much understands that difference, and can understand when brutal efforts can result in merciful outcomes. Then again that absolutely doesn’t mean they were always right. Fortunately people like you are nowhere near the conversation though.
